Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai forgiveness serta trait kepribadian agreeableness dan neuroticism pada big five personality serta bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran trait kepribadian agreeableness dan neuroticism terhadap forgiveness pada mahasiswa Strata 1 atau sarjana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan pengujian asumsi terlebih dahulu. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif S1 Universitas Brawijaya (N=535). Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. TRIM 12 digunakan untuk mengukur forgiveness dan NEO-FF1 60 digunakan untuk mengukur trait kepribadian agreeableness dan neuroticism. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa trait kepribadian agreeableness dan neuroticism sangat berperan terhadap forgiveness = 0.173). Pada trait kepribadian agreeableness berkorelasi positif terhadap forgiveness (β = .273, p = .000) dan trait kepribadian neuroticism berkorelasi negatif terhadap forgiveness (β = -.209, p = .000).
English Abstract
This study examines forgiveness and agreeableness and neuroticism personality traits in big five personality and aims to determine the role of personality traits of agreeableness and neuroticism to forgiveness in undergraduate students. This research is a quantitative research, hypothesis testing is done by using multiple linear regression analysis by testing assumptions first. Responden in this study were active undergraduate students at the University of Brawijaya (N = 535). The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. TRIM 12 is used to measure forgiveness and NEO-FF1 60 is used to measure the trait of agreeableness and neuroticism. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the agreeableness and neuroticism personality trait greatly contributes to forgiveness = 0.173).). The agreeableness personality trait is positively correlated with forgiveness (β = .273, p = .000) and the neuroticism personality trait is negatively correlated with forgiveness (β = -.209, p = .000).
