Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa disabilitas Universitas Brawijaya. Populasi dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif penyandang disabilitas Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2017 yang berjumlah 34 mahasiswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yakni non-probability sampling, dengan jenis sampling jenuh (sensus). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional, karena peneliti berusaha untuk melihat hubungan antara dua variabel. Self-efficacy diukur dengan menggunakan skala General Self Efficacy (GSE) yang disusun oleh Schwarzer & Jerusalem (1995) dan telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Aristi Born, dimana skala GSE ini terdiri dari 10 aitem. Sedangkan prestasi akademik diukur dengan menggunakan IPK mahasiswa disabilitas semester tiga. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pearson’s Product Moment, dengan bantuan program SPSS Statistic 25.0 for Windows. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar memiliki self-efficacy pada kategori tinggi, dengan hasil prestasi akademik sangat memuaskan. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil perhitungan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,213 (P>0.05), dimana hal ini memiliki makna bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa disabilitas Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic achievement in disability students of Brawijaya University. The population and sample used in this study were all 2017 active students with disabilities of Brawijaya University, which numbered 34 students. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, with a type of saturated sampling (census). This study uses a quantitative correlation approach, because researchers try to see the relationship between two variables. Self-efficacy is measured using the General Self Efficacy (GSE) scale compiled by Schwarzer & Jerusalem (1995) and has been translated into Indonesian by Aristi Born, where the GSE scale consists of 10 items. While academic achievement is measured using the third semester disability student GPA. The data analysis technique used in this study is Pearson's Product Moment, with the help of the SPSS Statistics 25.0 for Windows program. The subjects in this study mostly had self-efficacy in the high category, with academic achievement results very satisfying. This study obtained the results of calculations with a significance value of 0.213 (P> 0.05), which means that there is no relationship between self-efficacy and academic achievement in disability students of Brawijaya University.
