Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon Wong Cilik dan Wong Gedhe dalam pembentukan opini publik di Desa Balongbesuk Kabupaten Jombang melalui sebuah media sosial, media cetak, dan media elektronik. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, pengumpulan data: wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Latar belakang skripsi ini membahas peran media dalam pembentukan opini publik pada PILBUP 2018. Dimana eksistensi, elektabilitas figur, dan strategi kampanye yang dibentuk masing-masing paslon melalui media sehingga adanya pemanfaatan media sebagai sumber informasi, kemudian di Desa Balongbesuk terdapat mobilisasi politik yang bersifat memaksa dari salah satu paslon untuk memilih Calon Bupati dan Calon Wakil Bupati yang berasal dari partai NU agar programnya terealisasikan dengan baik dan demi kemakmuran semua masyarakat. Penelitian ini Terdapat dua Opini publik yang berbeda, dimana kehadiran media berperan sebagai sumber informasi bagi Wong Gedhe karena golongan ini mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan lebih suka instan juga praktis dalam mencari sumber informasi sehingga dalam menerima informasi tidak begitu saja diterima akan tetapi di filter terlebih dahulu baru berasumsi. sedangkan Wong Cilik di Desa Balongbesuk ini pengetahuan tentang politik sangat rendah, mereka tidak menggunakan media sosial, hanya melihat Televisi, brosur, spanduk dalam menerima informasi terkait PILBUP Jombang, keputusan memilih calon kandidat tergantung tokoh ulama‟ atau kyai. Media hanya berperan dan memberikan pengaruh positif bagi golongan Wong Gedhe, dan tidak mempunyai peran dan pengaruh terhadap golongan Wong Cilik karena adanya faktor ikatan terhadap idealisme jaringan organisasi dan jaringan dari partai NU.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the response of Wong Cilik and Wong Gedhe in the formation of public opinion in Balongbesuk Village, Jombang Regency through a social media, print media, and electronic media. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative, data collection: interviews, observation, and documentation. The background of this paper discusses the role of the media in forming public opinion in PILBUP 2018. Where the existence, electability of figures, and campaign strategies formed by each candidate pair through the media so that the use of media as a source of information, then in Balongbesuk Village there is compelling political mobilization from one of the candidate pairs to elect Candidates for the Regent and Candidates for the Deputy Regent from the NU party so that the program is realized properly and for the prosperity of all communities. This research has two different public opinions, where the presence of the media acts as a source of information for Wong Gedhe because this group follows the times and prefers to be practical in finding information sources so that information is not accepted but filtered first assume. while the Wong Cilik in Balongbesuk Village had very low knowledge about politics, they did not use social media, only saw television, brochures, banners in receiving information related to PILBUP Jombang, the decision to choose candidates was dependent on ulama or kyai leaders. The media only played a role and gave a positive influence to the Wong Gedhe group, and did not have a role and influence on the Wong Cilik class because of the bonding factor to the idealism of the NU party and network organization network.
