Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara kecanduan bermain game online berunsur kekerasan dengan perilaku agresi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional untuk melihat kaitan antara dua variabel yang diteliti. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 144 pemain game online yang dipilih melalui teknik sampling, Teknik sampling Non-probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala kecanduan bermain game online berunsur kekerasan yang dibuat berdasarkan transadaptasi teori Lemmens, dkk, dan skala perilaku yang di transadaptasi dari penelitian buss and perry. Data penelitian yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis regresi sederhana. Metode tersebut menjelaskan pemodelan hubungan antara variabel independen dan dependen yang berarti setiap perubahan pada variabel independen akan diikuti oleh perubahan pada variabel dependen secara tetap. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa terdapat signifikan antara kecanduan bermain game online dengan perilaku agresi pda remaja. (R = 0,0001, p = 0,373).

English Abstract

This study is about to reveal the relationship between addiction to playing online games with violent elements and aggression. This research is a quantitative correlational study to see the relationship between the two variables studied. The sample used in this study amounted to 144 online game players who were selected through sampling techniques, Non-probability sampling sampling technique with purposive sampling method. The research instrument was in the form of an addictive scale of playing online games with violence that was made based on the adaptation of Lemmens' theory, et al. and behavioral scales that were adapted from buss and perry research. The research data obtained were then analyzed using a simple regression analysis method. The method explains the modeling of the relationship between independent and dependent variables, which means that any changes to the independent variable will be followed by changes to the dependent variable permanently. The results of the study explain that there is a significant difference between addictions to playing online games with aggression in teenagers. (R = 0,0001, p = 0,373).
