Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat hubungan antara tipe kepribadian neuroticism dengan self disclosure di jejaring sosial Instagram pada remaja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif berjenis korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni accidental sampling dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 325 responden. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini adalah BFI scale John O., P. (1990) yang telah diadaptasi kedalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Ramdhani (2012) untuk mengukur neuroticism dan skala self disclosure di Instagram yang telah dimodifikasi dari penelitian sebelumnya yang mengacu pada teori self disclosure Wheeles (1976). Analisa data yang akan digunakan adalah metode korelasi product moment pearson dengan pengujian analisis menggunakan program SPSS 22.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, nilai koefisien korelasi pearson bernilai -0.036 dengan taraf signifikansi 0.516 (p > 0.05) yang berarti tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian neuroticism dengan self disclosure di Instagram pada remaja.
English Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between neuroticism personality type and self disclosure of adolescents in social network: Instagram. This study uses quantitative method and classified as correlational study. Accidental sampling is used in this study with the total of 325 respondents participated. The scales that is being used to measure the variables in this study are BFI scale created by John O., P. (1990) that has been adapted to Bahasa Indonesia by Ramdhani (2012) to measure neuroticism personality and also self disclosure in Instagram scale which also been modified by researcher that referred to previous study completed by Wheeles (1976). The examination of the data analysis completed by using pearson product moment correlation method within SPSS 22.0 for windows as the program is for analysis test. Results of this study shows the value of coefficient correlation is -0.036 with the number of signification 0.516 (p > 0.05) that indicates no significant correlation between variables; neuroticism personality type and self disclosure in Instagram among adolescents.
