Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran burnout pengasuh yang tinggal bersama ABK dari segi bentuk burnout yang terjadi, faktor penyebab burnout tersebut, dampaknya terhadap pengasuh serta cara para pengasuh mengatasinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek yang digunakan berjumlah dua orang subjek primer dan dua orang subjek sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi dan wawancara, selain itu teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua subjek mengalami burnout yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor dari lingkungan pekerjaan. Faktor-faktor ini kemudian mempengaruhi perilaku mereka dalam pekerjaannya sebagai pengasuh para ABK. Dalam penelitian ini, kedua subjek memiliki cara yang cukup berbeda dalam penanganan burnout yang mereka alami
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the burnout of caregivers who live together with special needs children in terms of the form of burnout that occurs, factors that causing burnout, the impact on caregivers, and the ways caregivers handle them. This research is a qualitative study with a case study approach. The following subjects used in the research were two primary subjects and two secondary subjects. Furthermore, data collections techniques such as observations and interviews were used in the research, and Miles and Huberman’s models were used as the data analysis. The results of this case study indicates that both subjects have experienced burnout which were caused by several factors from their work environments. These factors affect the behavior of caregivers of children with special needs during their work. In this case study, both subjects show quite different ways of handling the burnout they have experienced.
