Abstract

Fasilitas MASH Classroom sebagai salah satu wujud keberadaan smart classroom di FILKOM UB telah diterapkan selama sekitar satu tahun, namun masih terdapat berbagai kendala terkait kesuksesan implementasinya dari sudut pandang mahasiswa FILKOM UB (pengguna). Evaluasi terhadap kesuksesan implementasi MASH Classroom diperlukan untuk mendapatkan rekomendasi yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan tingkat kesuksesan implementasinya. Hal tersebut dilakukan menggunakan empat variabel dari model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) yaitu performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, dan facilitating conditions. Metode penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif dalam penelitian ini mencakup 1273 mahasiswa pengguna MASH Classroom di FILKOM UB sebagai populasinya. Sampel ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin dengan toleransi kesalahan sebesar 10% yang mendapatkan 96 mahasiswa pengguna MASH Classroom di FILKOM UB sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa variabel performance expectancy (50,68%), effort expectancy (53,80%), social influence (62,40%) dan facilitating conditions (56,20%) berada di kategori sedang. Rekomendasi yang diberikan berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah menekankan penyampaian Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) di pertemuan pertama tiap semester, penyediaan SDM dengan tugas spesifik untuk operasionalisasi MASH Classroom sehari-hari, pengalokasian MASH Classroom dalam proses peminjaman kelas untuk kegiatan mahasiswa, kemudian menekankan penerapan computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) oleh para dosen pengajar melalui workshop dan pelatihan.

English Abstract

MASH Classroom facility as one of the smart classroom implementations at FILKOM UB has been implemented for about a year, yet there are still some problems regarding the success of its implementation from FILKOM UB students (user’s) perspective. Evaluation towards the success of MASH Classroom’s implementation is required to gain the recommendation that can be used for improving its implementation success’ rate. The evaluation is done by using four variables from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model, which are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions. Quantitative research method with descriptive statistics in this research includes 1273 MASH Classroom user students at FILKOM UB as its population. The samples are determined with Slovin’s equation with 10% of error tolerance which obtained 96 MASH Classroom user students at FILKOM UB as the research sample. The results showed that performance expectancy (50,68%), effort expectancy (53,80%), social influence (62,40%), and facilitating conditions (56,20%) is in the neutral category. Recommendations given according to the research results are emphasizing the delivery of Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) on the first meeting in each semester, provision of task-spesific human resource for daily operationalization of the class, allocating MASH Classroom for non-academic student activities, and emphasizing Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) to the lecturers through workshop and training.
