Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran identitas etnis yang dilihat dari masing-masing dimensinya (eksplorasi, komitmen, dan afirmasi) terhadap prasangka pada Bahasa yang berbeda ( Studi Perantauan etnik Batak di Kota Malang) . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 89 responden yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah skala Ethnic Identity Scale (EIS) dan skala prasangka. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Ada empat hasil uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, eksplorasi identitas etnis berperan positif terhadap prasangka. Kedua, komitmen identitas etnis berperan positif terhadap prasangka. Ketiga, afirmasi identitas etnis berperan positif terhadap prasangka. Keempat, ada peran secara bersama – sama antara eksplorasi, komitmen dan afirmasi terhadap prasangka orang dengan Bahasa berbeda.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of ethnic identity seen from each dimension (exploration, commitment, and affirmation) on prejudice in different languages (ethnic Batak Study in Malang). This study is a correlational study with a total sample of 89 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in data collection is the Ethnic Identity Scale (EIS) scale and the prejudice scale. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression analysis. There are fourth results of hypothesis testing in this study. First, exploration of ethnic identity plays a positive role in prejudice. Second, ethnic identity commitment plays a positive role in prejudice. Third, affirmation of ethnic identity plays a positive role in prejudice. Fourth, there is a role together between exploration, commitment, affirmation of the prejudices of people with different languages.
