Abstract
Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self awareness pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien dengan penyakit diabetes melitus tipe II di Malang. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 219 orang dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Social Support in Chronic Ilness Inventory untuk mengukur dukungan sosial dan untuk mengukur self awareness menggunakan Self Awareness Outcomes Questionnare. Uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan Product Moment Pearson menghasilkan p=0,000 (p<0,05) dan terdapat bukti untuk menolak H0, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,385. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self awareness pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe II.
English Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the relationship between social support and self-awareness in people with type II diabetes mellitus. This study uses a quantitative correlation. The population in this study are patients with diabetes mellitus type II in Malang. The number of samples in this study as many as 219 people using incidental sampling technique. Measuring instrument used in this study are Social Support in Chronic Ilness Inventory to measure social support and to measure self-awareness with Self Awareness questionnare Outcomes. Hypothesis testing is done using Pearson Product Moment generating p = 0.000 (p <0.05) and there is evidence to reject H0, the correlation value of 0.385.
