Abstract
Analisis ragam pada Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) hanya dapat mendefinisikan satu jenis galat, yaitu galat percobaan. Hal ini disebabkan karena hanya terdapat satu nilai pada setiap kombinasi perlakuan dan kelompok, padahal ada beberapa penelitian yang sebenarnya telah melakukan ulangan namun hanya rata-rata saja yang digunakan. RAK dengan adanya ulangan pada setiap kombinasi perlakuan dan kelompok disebut dengan RAK subsampel, analisis ragam pada RAK subsampel dapat mendefinisikan galat lain yang disebut galat sampel. Secara bersama-sama galat percobaan dan galat sampel dapat digabungkan, kemudian galat gabungan tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai pembanding untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan dan kelompok. Hal ini disebut dengan Preliminary Test of Significance. Penggabungan nilai galat yang tepat dapat memperbesar nilai galat gabungan, sehingga dapat meminimalkan kesalahan jenis I. Galat sampel dapat digunakan pula untuk pengujian asumsi aditifitas, sehingga lebih menghemat waktu saat melakukan analisis data.
English Abstract
The analysis of variance in Randomized Block Design (RBD) can only define one type of error, that is a experimental error. This is because there is only one value in each combination of treatments and blocks, whereas there are some studies that actually have repeated but only the average is used. RBD in the presence of replicates in each combination of treatments and blocks is called RBD subsample, the analysis of variance in RBD subsample can define another error called sample error. Together experimental errors and sample errors can be combined, then the combined error can be used as a comparison to determine the effect of treatment and block. This is called the Preliminary Test of Significance. Incorrect merger error values can increase the value of compound errors, so as minimize type 1 errors. The sample error can also be used to test additive assumptions, thereby saving more time when performing data analysis.
