Abstract
Reaksi HDO adalah reaksi hidrogenasi dan deoksigenasi dengan menggunakan katalis heterogen. Dalam penelitian ini, reaksi HDO terhadap senyawa fenol dilakukan dengan katalis Cu/Al2O3-ZrO2 dengan kadar logam Cu (b/b) sebesar 10% dan 15%. Katalis disiapkan melalui metode impregnasi basah. Sintesis katalis pengemban dilakukan dengan mencampurkan padatan Al2O3 dan garam ZrOCl2.8H2O dalam kondisi basa, diaduk selama 24 jam, disaring dan dikalsinasi pada suhu 500oC. Katalis pengemban Al2O3-ZrO2 yang dihasilkan diimpregnasikan dengan logam Cu dari garam Cu(NO3)2.3H2O, dikalsinasi dan direduksi pada temperatur 550oC. Reaksi HDO dilakukan dengan mereaksikan fenol, akuademineralisasi, katalis teraktivasi di dalam autoclave oil batch reactor dengan tekanan 50 Psi gas H2. Temperatur reaksi divariasikan pada 150, 180, dan 200oC. Analisis dengan GC-MS menunjukkan reaksi 10% Cu/Al2O3- ZrO2 pada temperatur 200oC menghasilkan konversi paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 4,26% dengan selektivitas terhadap n-heksana sebagai produk utama sebesar 66,17%. Produk intermediet yang terbentuk adalah metilsiklopentana dan 3-metil-pentana, masing-masing sebesar 22,73% dan 11,08%.
English Abstract
Hydrodeoxygenation reaction (HDO) is one-pot reaction consist of hydrogenation and deoxygenation reaction using heterogeneous catalyst. The HDO reaction was performed using phenol as model compound with 10% and 15% metal loading (w/w) of Cu in Cu/Al2O3- ZrO2 catalyst. The catalyst was prepared by wet impregnation method. Synthesis of support was performed by stirring Al2O3 and ZrOCl2.8H2O in base solution for 24 h, filtered, and calcined at 500oC. The Cu/Al2O3-ZrO2 catalyst was prepared by added Cu(NO3)2.3H2O on Al2O3-ZrO2, then calcined and reducted at 550oC. The HDO reaction is carried out by heating phenol in aquademineralized, and catalyst in an autoclave oil batch reactor under 50 Psi of H2. Reaction temperatures were modified on 150, 180, and 200oC. Analysis of GCMS showed that reaction with 10% Cu/Al2O3-ZrO2 at 200oC gave the highest conversion (4.26%). The analysis from GC-MS showed that HDO product identified as n-hexane as main product with selectivity 66.17%. The intermediate products, methylcyclopentane and 3- methylpentane was obtained at 22.73% and 11.08%, respectively.
