Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak lerak (S. rarak DC) sebagai antibakteri dan surfactant yang diformulasikan ke dalam sabun cair nanoemulsi mengandung Tween 80 dan emmal 270N. Uji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus Aureus dengan metode Agar well difussion, sedangkan formulasi sabun dirancang berdasarkan metoda permukaan respon Box-Behnken. Uji karakter sifat fisik sabun nanoemulsi meliputi pH sabun cair, kejernihan, viskositas, stabilitas emulsi, ukuran droplet emulsi serta karakter organoleptik. Hasil karakterisasi organoleptik meliputi warna, kelicinan, kelembaban, dan iritasi sabun nanoemulsi ditunjukkan dengan permukaan respon kenyamanan pada kondisi optimum mengikuti Y = - 0.25 [Tween] + 0.45 [lerak]2 – 0.05 [Tween] 2 – 0.05 [emmal]2 dengan komposisi optimum ekstrak lerak 5%, tween 80 15% dan 25.07% emmal 270N sisanya pengharum minyak sereh 2 %, gliserin 2% dan air.
English Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the effect of lerak (S. rarak DC) extract as antibacterial and surfactant which formulated into nanoemulsi liquid soap containing Tween 80 and emmal 270N. Determination on antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus Aureus using Agar well difussion method, while soap formulation is designed based on Box-Behnken response surface method. Characterization on the physical properties of the nanoemulsion soap includes the pH of liquid soap, clarity, viscosity, emulsion stability, emulsion droplet size and organoleptic character. The results of organoleptic characterization include the color, slippery, moisture, and irritation of the nanoemulsion soap shown by the surface response of the comfort under optimum conditions following Y = - 0.25 [Tween] + 0.45 [lerak]2 – 0.05 [Tween] 2 – 0.05 [emmal]2 with composition optimum at 5% extract lerak, 80.15% tween and 25.07% emmal 270N, and the rest consist of 2% citronella oil fragrance, 2% glycerin and water.
