Abstract
Ulkus traumatik merupakan lesi yang yang disebabkan karena traumatik, suhu, elektrik, dan kimia. Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% merupakan salah satu obat ulkus golongan kortikosteroid yang dapat menyebabkan Oral candidiasis. Ekstrak ethanol kulit buah delima (Punica granatum L.) mengandung tanin dan flavonoid yang berfungsi mempercepat aktivasi makrofag sehingga dapat mempercepat penyembuhan ulkus traumatik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental menggunakan Post Test Only Randomized Control Group Design untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak ethanol kulit buah delima (Punica granatum L.) terhadap jumlah makrofag pada penyembuhan ulkus traumatik tikus wistar yang diinduksi panas. Sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling kemudian dibagi menjadi 9 kelompok yaitu kelompok tanpa perlakuan (K(-)), kelompok yang diaplikasikan Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% (K(+)) dan kelompok yang diaplikasikan ekstrak ethanol kulit buah delima (Punica granatum L.) (P) dalam 3 times series. Variabel yang diteliti adalah jumlah makrofag pada jaringan ulkus traumatik mukosa labial tikus dari sediaan HPA dengan pengecatan HE. Analisis data menggunakan one way ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna (p<0,05) terhadap jumlah makrofag pada setiap kelompok. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak ethanol kulit buah delima (Punica granatum L.) berpengaruh terhadap jumlah makrofag pada penyembuhan ulkus traumatik tikus wistar yang diinduksi panas.
English Abstract
Traumatic ulcer is a lesion caused by traumatic, temperature, electrical, and chemical. Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% is one of the group of corticosteroid for ulcer treatment that can cause Oral candidiasis. The Ethanol extract pomegranate fruit peel (Punica granatum L.) contains tannin and flavonoid which acts as improving activation for accelarate the traumatic ulcer healing. The type of this study is experimental research and using Post Test Only Randomized Control Group Design in order to understanding the effect of ethanol extract pomegranate fruit peel (Punica granatum L.) to the number of macrophages in traumatic ulcer healing of wistar rat with thermal induction. The sampling technique is using Simple Random Sampling technique and the samples devided into 9 groups that are non treatment groups (K(-)), applied Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% groups (K(+)), and applied ethanol extract pomegranate fruit peel (Punica granatum L.) groups (P) in 3 times series. Variable studied was the number macrophages in traumatic ulcer tissue in labial mucosa of rat from HPA preparation and HE coloration. Analyzing one way ANOVA showed that there were significant differences (p<0,05) to the number of macrophages in each group. Conclusion of this study was that ethanol extract pomegranate fruit peel (Punica granatum L.) takes effect to the number of macrophages in traumatic ulcer healing of wistar rat with thermal induction.
