Abstract
Nyamuk Aedes sp merupakan serangga yang berperan sebagai vektor virus dengue. Pengendalian vektor ini telah dilakukan, salah satunya dengan pembuatan insektisida alami. Daun turi (Sesbania grandiflora) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai insektisida karena adanya kandungan flavonoid. Penelitian utama dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kadar flavonoid pada penyimpanan ekstrak etanol daun turi terhadap potensi sebagai insektisida nyamuk Aedes sp melalui metode semprot. Metode penelitian berupa eksperimental laboratoris dengan rancangan true eksperimental-post test control group design. Sampel penelitian menggunakan nyamuk Aedes sp dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi tertentu. Konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun turi yaitu 15% (didapat dari penelitian pendahuluan) yang disimpan selama 5 hari berturut-turut dengan pengukuran kadar flavonoid setiap hari menggunakan spektrofotometer. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyemprotkan ekstrak ke kotak kaca lalu diisi nyamuk Aedes sp sejumlah 20 ekor pada masing-masing kotak dengan pengulangan empat kali dan adanya kontrol negatif (aquadest) dan positif (transfluthrin) sebagai pembanding. Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA, menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antara kematian nyamuk hari pertama dengan hari kelima penyimpanan ekstrak. Uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat dan berlawanan arah antara lama penyimpanan dengan flavonoid (R= -0,950), sedangkan kadar flavonoid dengan kematian nyamuk menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat dan searah (R=0,831). Lalu, dilanjutkan dengan uji regresi linier sederhana. Dalam mengetahui perbandingan dominansi antara lama penyimpanan dan kadar flavonoid dilakukan uji regresi linier berganda dan diketahui bahwa lama penyimpanan memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan dibanding kadar flavonoid. Kesimpulan dari penelitian yaitu adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara lama penyimpanan ekstrak etanol daun turi (15%) terhadap potensinya sebagai insektisida terhadap nyamuk Aedes sp
English Abstract
Aedes sp is an insect that acts as a vector of dengue virus. This vector control has been done, one of them is the manufacture of natural insecticides. Sesbania grandiflora leaf can be used as an insecticide because of the flavonoid content. The main research was carried out to determine the effect of flavonoid levels on the storage of Sesbania grandiflora leaf ethanol extract on the potential as an insecticide of Aedes sp mosquito through the spray method. The research method is an experimental laboratory with a true experimental design - post test control group design. The study sample used Aedes sp mosquitoes with certain inclusion and exclusion criteria. The concentration of Sesbania grandiflora leaf ethanol extract is 15% (obtained from a preliminary study) which was stored for 5 consecutive days with measurements of flavonoid levels every day using a spectrophotometer. The study was carried out by spraying extract into a glass box and then filled with 20 Aedes sp mosquitoes in each box with four repetitions and a negative (aquadest) and positive (transfluthrin) control as a comparison. Data analysis using One Way ANOVA test, showed a significant difference between the death of mosquitoes the first day and the fifth day of extract storage. The Pearson correlation test showed a very strong and opposite direction between the length of storage and flavonoids (R = -0,950), while the levels of flavonoids with mosquito deaths showed a very strong and direct relationship (R = 0,831). Then, followed by a simple linear regression test. In knowing the ratio of dominance between storage time and flavonoid levels, multiple linear regression tests were carried out and it was found that the storage time had a more dominant effect than the flavonoid level. The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant relationship between the storage time of Sesbania grandiflora leaf ethanol extract (15%) to its potential as an insecticide against Aedes sp.
