Abstract
Pola konsumsi camilan yang kurang tepat atau tidak sehat dapat menimbulkan berbagai penyakit, seperti food borne disease, diabetes mellitus, hipertensi, penyakit jantung koroner, dan alergi. Camilan adalah makanan ringan yang dikonsumsi diantara waktu makan utama. Terdapat dua faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku dalam konsumsi camilan yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Salah satu faktor eksternal adalah faktor budaya atau status mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran dan Non Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya dalam konsumsi camilan. Metode penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang menggunakan kuesioner. Sampel dipilih dengan metode convenience sampling sebanyak 80 mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran dan 80 mahasiswa Non Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya. Perbedaan perilaku antara kedua kelompok dianalisis menggunakan Chi-Square test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran dan mahasiswa Non Fakultas Kedokteran berbeda dalam hal frekuensi perhatian pada label kemasan, frekuensi pembelian camilan di kantin fakultas, frekuensi pembelian camilan disertai makanan utama, frekuensi pembelian camilan kaki lima, serta frekuensi pembelian camilan di kantin kejujuran dan tidak berbeda dalam hal frekuensi konsumsi camilan, frekuensi pembelian camilan kemasan, frekuensi pembelian dan konsumsi camilan gorengan, frekuensi pembelian dan konsumsi minuman kemasan, frekuensi pembelian camilan murah, jarak pembelian camilan, frekuensi pembelian camilan di warung/toko, frekuensi pembelian camilan di minimarket, serta frekuensi pembelian camilan di pusat perbelanjaan/Mall.
English Abstract
Unhealthy snack consumption patterns can cause various diseases, such as food borne disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, coronary heart disease, and allergies. A snack are food consumed between main meals. There are two factors that influence the behavior in snack consumption that is internal factor and external factor. One of the external factor is cultural factors or status students. This study attempts to knows the difference behavior students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Non Faculty of Medicine of Brawijaya University in consumption of especially a snack. A method of this research is observational with the design cross sectional uses a questionnaire. The sample was selected with the method of convenience sampling as many as 80 students of the Medical Faculty and 80 students Non Faculty of Medicine Brawijaya University. Differences in the behavior of the two groups were analyzed using Chi-Square test. The results showed that the behavior students of the Faculty of Medicine and Non-Faculty of Medicine students differed in terms of frequency of attention on the packaging label, the frequency of purchase of snacks in the faculty cafeteria, the frequency of purchasing snacks with main meals, the frequency of the purchase of a five-foot snack, and the frequency of purchase of snacks in the canteen honesty. No different in terms of the frequency of snack consumption, the frequency of purchase of packaged snacks, the frequency of purchase and consumption of fried snacks, the frequency of purchasing and consumption of beverage packaging, the frequency of purchasing cheap snacks, the distance purchasing snacks, the frequency of purchasing snacks in the shop, as well as the frequency of purchasing a snack in the shopping center
