Abstract

Masalah karies gigi masih perlu diperhatikan dengan melihat sekitar 60-70% anak sekolah dasar di Pagak, Kabupaten Malang mengalami karies. Kejadian karies di Pagak dihubungkan dengan masalah konsumsi air minum dengan kandungan kalsium yang sangat tinggi yaitu 165 mg/L. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kalsium gigi desidui akibat konsumsi air PDAM Pagak dan menghubungkannya dengan kejadian karies gigi anak di Kecamatan Pagak. Penelitian ini menggunakan data hasil screening berupa indeks SiC dan 20 sampel gigi desidui yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu kelompok sampel dengan konsentrasi HNO3 8,125%, 16,25%, 32,5% dan 65%. Hasil uji statistik dengan uji Kruskal Wallis didapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna kandungan kalsium antar empat kelompok. Berdasarkan uji korelasi Spearman didapat nilai signifikansi 0,00 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,853 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat dan searah antara kandungan kalsium gigi desidui dengan karies gigi anak. Untuk melihat pengaruhnya didapatkan nilai r2 sebesar 0,853 artinya pengarh kalsium gigi desidui terhadap kejadian karies gigi anak di Kecamatan Pagak sebesar 85,3%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan kandungan kalsium gigi desidui akibat konsumsi air PDAM Pagak dengan kejadian karies anak di kecamatan Pagak.

English Abstract

The problem of dental caries still needs to be considered by looking at around 60-70% of elementary school children in Pagak, Malang Regency experiencing caries. The caries incidence in Pagak is associated with the problem of consuming drinking water with a very high calcium content of 165 mg / L. The purpose of this study is to analyze calcium deciduous teeth due to PDAM Pagak water consumption and correlate it with the incidence of childhood dental caries in Pagak.This research uses screening results in the form of a SiC index and 20 deciduous teeth samples were then divided into 4 groups, namely the sample group with a concentration 8,125%, 16,25%, 32,5% and 65% HNO3. The results of the statistical test with the Kruskal Wallis test obtained a significance value of 0.002 which means there are significant differences in calcium content between the four groups. Based on the Spearman correlation test obtained a significance value of 0,00 and a correlation coefficient of 0,853 which means that there is a very strong and unidirectional relationship between the calcium content of deciduous teeth and children's dental caries. To see the effect, the r2 value of 0,853 means that the deciduous tooth calcium effect on the incidence of child dental caries in Pagak District is 85,3%.The conclusion of this research is there is a relationship between calcium content of deciduous teeth due to the water consumption of PDAM Pagak with the incidence of children’s dental caries in Pagak.
