Abstract
Latar Belakang: Penyakit gagal ginjal kronis adalah kelainan pada ginjal yang timbul akibat berbagai faktor, misalnya infeksi, tumor, kelainan bawaan, penyakit metabolik atau degeneratif, dan dapat menyebabkan gangguan mental pada penderitanya. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kejadian depresi pada penderita gagal ginjal kronis di Unit Hemodialisa RST Dr. Soepraoen Kota Malang. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Responden penelitian ini adalah penderita gagal ginjal kronis di RST Dr. Soepraoen Kota Malang yang berjumlah 49 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner Beck Depresion Inventory (BDI) untuk menilai kejadian depresi dan Medical Outcomes Study – Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS) untuk menilai dukungan yang diberikan orang terdekat kepada penderita gagal ginjal kronis. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah chi square Kesimpulan: Hasil pengumpulan data yang berupa deskripsi responden dapat disimpulkan a) dilihat dari kejadian depresi, kebanyakan responden memiliki tingkat depresi ringan b) dilihat dari tingkat dukungan keluarga, kebanyakan keluarga klien mendukung responden. Analisis chi square menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifkan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kejadian depresi pada penderita gagal gnjal kronis. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengembangan program pencegahan depresi pada penderita penyakit kronis seperti gagal ginjal dan meningkatkan kualitas asuhan keperawatan yang berfokus pada pasien gagal ginjal kronis.
English Abstract
Background: Chronic kidney failure is a kidney disorder that arises from various factors, such as infections, tumors, congenital abnormalities, metabolic or degenerative diseases, and can cause mental disorders in sufferers. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and the incidence of depression in patients with chronic kidney failure in the Hemodialysis Unit RST Dr. Soepraoen, Malang City. Method: This study used a cross sectional design. Respondents of this study were patients with chronic kidney failure in RST Dr. Soepraoen, Malang City, which numbered 49 people, with the sampling technique was the purposive sampling method. Data were collected by the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) questionnaire to assess the incidence of depression and the Medical Outcomes Study - Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS) to assess the support provided by the closest person to patients with chronic kidney failure. Analysis of the data used is chi square. Conclusion: The results of data collection in the form of respondents' descriptions can be concluded a) seen from the incidence of depression, most respondents have mild levels of depression b) seen from the level of family support, most client have good families support. Chi square analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and the incidence of depression in patients with chronic kidney failure. The results of this study can be used as a reference in the development of depression prevention programs in patients with chronic diseases such as kidney failure and improving the quality of nursing care focusing on patients with chronic kidney failure.
