Abstract

Prevalensi burnout syndrome yang meningkat pada perawat menjadi ancaman potensial terhadap keselamatan pasien. Iklim keselamatan pasien mewakili budaya keselamatan yang dapat diukur dalam satu waktu tertentu yang berpengaruh pada perilaku terkait keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara burnout syndrome perawat dengan iklim keselamatan pasien di Instalasi Rawat Inap (IRNA) Kelas II dan III Rumah Sakit Tk.II dr.Soepraoen Malang. Desain analitik korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dilakukan pada tanggal 23-28 November 2018. Sample dipilih dengan teknik total sampling sejumlah 99 perawat. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) dan Safety Attitudes Quetionnaire (SAQ). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman Rank ada hubungan negatif kelelahan emosional dengan iklim kerjasama tim (p=0,000; r=-0,445), hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan sedang antara kelelahan emosional dengan iklim keselamatan (p=0,000; r=-0,449), hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan sedang antara depersonalisasi dengan iklim kerjasama tim (p= 0,000; r=-0,423), hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan lemah antara Depersonalisasi dengan iklim keselamatan (p=0,004; r=-0,286), hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan lemah antara pencapaian prestasi diri dengan iklim kerjasama tim (p=0,002; r=-0,311), dan hubungan negatif dengan kekuatan lemah antara pencapaian prestasi diri dengan iklim keselamatan (p=0,011; r=-0,255). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan negatif antara burnout syndrome perawat dengan iklim keselamatan pasien. Disarankan pentingnya upaya deteksi dini dengan evaluasi burnout syndrome perawat secara berkala serta pelaksanaan pelatihan manajemen stres bagi perawat guna meningkatkan mekanisme koping terhadap stress terkait pekerjaan.

English Abstract

The increase of burnout syndrome prevalence among nurses is a potential threat to patient safety. The patient safety climate represents a safety culture that can be measured at once time affects behavior related to patient safety. The aims of this study is to analyze the correlation between nurse burnout syndrome and patient safety climate toward Class II and III Inpatient Installation dr. Soepraoen Hospital, Malang. The correlative analytic design with cross sectional approach was carried out on 23-28 November 2018. The sample was selected with a total sampling technique of 99 nurses. The instrument used is the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Safety Attitudes Quetionaire (SAQ). The Spearman Rank correlation test results in a negative correlation between emotional exhaustion and teamwork climate (p=0,000; r=-0,445), a negative correlation with moderate strength between emotional exhaustion and safety climate (p= 0,000; r=-0,449), a negative correlation with moderate strength between depersonalization and teamwork climate (p=0,000; r=-0,423), negative correlation with weak strength between Depersonalization and safety climate (p =0,004; r=-0,286), negative correlation with weak strength between personal accomplishment and teamwork climate (p=0.002; r=-0.311), and a negative correlation with weak strengths between personal accomplishment and safety climate (p=0.011; r=-0.255). The conclusion of this study is a negative correlation between nurse burnout syndrome and patient safety climate. It is recommends that the importance of early detection nurses burnout syndrome regularly and the implementation of stress management training for nurses in order to improve coping mechanisms for work-related stress.
