Abstract
Stres merupakan suatu reaksii yang dialamil oleh setiap individu yang berasal dari interaksi ataupun peristiwa di lingkungan sekitar yang dianggap sebagai tekanan. Dukungan sosial baik dari keluarga ataupun teman merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi stres pada mahasiswa. Penelitian inii bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres mahasiswa program studi ilmu keperawatan Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan 170 responden, analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Spearman rank dengan α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki tingkat dukungan sosial keluarga dan dukungan sosial teman yang tinggi, dan sebagian mahasiswa mengalami stres dalam kategori normal. Hasil uji korelasi dan besarnya korelasi antara tingkat dukungan sosial keluarga dengan tingkat stres adalah (r= -0.168; p= 0.028) yang artinya semakin tinggi tingkat dukungan sosial keluarga maka tingkat stres akan semakin menurun dan hasil antara tingkat dukungan sosial teman dengan tingkat stres adalah (r= -0.206; p= 0.007) artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial teman maka tingkat stress akan semakin menurun. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan antara tingkat dukungan sosial keluarga dan teman terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Brwawijaya Malang. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah melakukan pengontrolan terhadap faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi stres pada mahasiswa yaitu seperti status sosial ekonomi, suku, budaya, jenis kelamin, karakteristik kepribadian, dan strategi koping.
English Abstract
Stress is a reaction experienced by every individual who comes from interactions or events in the environment that is considered as pressure. Social support either from family or friends is one factor that can affect stress on students. This study aims to determine the relationship level of social support with stress levels of students of nursing study program of Universitas Brawijaya Malang. This research use cross sectional design with 170 responden, data analysis is done with Spearman rank test with α = 0,05. Based on the results of the study shows that most students have high levels of family social support and social support of friends, and some students experience stress in the normal category. The result of correlation test and the correlation between the level of family social support with stress level is (r = -0.168; p = 0.028) which means that the higher level of family social support hence the level of stress will decrease and the result between social support level of friend with stress level is (r = -0.206; p = 0.007) means that the higher the social support of friends the level of stress will decrease. The conclusion in this research is there is relationship between level of social support of friend and friend to stress level of student of Study Program of Nursing Universitas Brwawijaya Malang. Suggestions for further research is to control the other factors that can affect stress on students such as socioeconomic status, ethnicity, culture, gender, personality characteristics, and coping strategies.
