Yolandha, Ockta (2018) Pengaruh Expressive Art Therapy Terhadap Agresi Anak Prasekolah Yang Mengalami Hospitalisasi Selama Dilakukan Tindakan Keperawatan di RST dr.Soepraoen dan RS Wava Husada. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Hospitalization is a great stressor for preschoolers because of separation from family. The parting response is divided into protest stage, desperation stage and reject stage. The protest and despair stage shows behavior of aggression that causes various negative impacts. Expressive art therapy is a uniquely designed therapy to reduce stress hospitalization. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of expressive art therapy to the aggression of preschool children who have been hospitalized during the nursing care. The research design uses quasi experimental. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling, control group (n=16) and intervention group (n=16). Paired T-Test in control group with p-value 0.191> 0.05 indicates there is no significant difference. In the intervention group, Paired TTest with p-value 0.000 <0.05 indicates that there is a significant difference. Independent T-test in both groups p-value 0.000 <0.05 indicates that there is a significant difference. The results in the intervention group were better than the control group. The conclusion is There are the influence of expressive art therapy on the aggression of preschool children who experience hospitalization during the nursing care. Recommendation for hospitals are to implement expressive art therapy in children of hospitalization. Academic institutions can provide additional information on the implementation of expressive art therapy as well as for further research to develop this therapy on different variables.
