Abstract
Asap rokok mengandung radikal bebas dan zat berbahaya seperti nikotin dan karbon monoksida yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan berat badan lahir bayi. Kefir susu sapi mengandung vitamin, minyak esensial, asam amino serta antioksidan yang diindikasikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan vitamin E. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kefir susu sapi terhadap berat badan bayi baru lahir pada tikus (Rattus novergicus) bunting yang dipapar asap rokok. Penelitian ini menggunakan 25 ekor tikus bunting, dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok; kontrol (-), kontrol (+), perlakuan (1), perlakuan (2), perlakuan (3) dengan dosis kefir susu sapi masing-masing (P(1): 2,5; P(2): 5; P(3): 10 ml/KgBB/hari). Kefir susu sapi dan pemaparan asap rokok diberikan pada hari ke-5 hingga hari ke-18 kebuntingan. Tikus kemudian dibedah pada hari ke-19 kebuntingan, lalu bayi tikus ditimbang dan dihitung rata-rata berat badannya. Dengan menggunakan SPSS 23.0 didadapatkan rata-rata berat badan K(-): 2,922 gram; K(+): 1,264 gram; P(1): 2,032 gram; P(2): 3,048 gram; P(3): 4,09 gram. Hasil analisis uji one way ANOVA menunjukkan hasil kelompok perlakuan (1,2, dan 3) berbeda secara signifikan dengan nilai p=0,000 (p<0,05). Kelompok K(+) lebih rendah secara signifikan dibanding kelompok K(-). Kelompok P(2) dan P(3) lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelompok K(+). Kelompok P(3) lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelompok P(1). Kelompok K(-) memiliki perbedaan namun tidak signifikan dibandingkan kelompok P(1), P(2), dan P(3). Dibandingkan dengan kelompok K(+), pemberian kefir susu sapi dengan dosis 5 ml/KgBB/hari dan 10 ml/KgBB/hari mampu secara signifikan mencegah terjadinya penurunan berat badan bayi baru lahir pada tikus (Rattus novergicus) bunting yang dipapar asap rokok.
English Abstract
Cigarette smoke contains free radicals and harmful substances such as nicotine and carbon monoxide that can cause baby's weight loss. Cow milk kefir contains vitamins, essential oils, amino acids and antioxidants that are indicated higher than vitamin E. This study aims to determine the effect of cow milk kefir on newborns weight in pregnant mice (Rattus novergicus) exposed to cigarette smoke. This study used 25 pregnant mice, divided into 5 groups; control(-), control(+), treatment(P1), treatment(P2), treatment(P3) with dose of cow milk kefir(P(1): 2,5; P(2): 5; P(3): 10 ml/KgBB/day). Cow milk kefir and cigarette smoke exposure are given on the 5th day until the 18th day of pregnancy. Mice were then dissected on the 19th day of pregnancy, the mice infant was weighed and calculated on average. Using SPSS 23.0 found that average weight of K(-): 2,922 grams; K(+): 1,264 grams; P(1): 2.032 grams; P(2): 3.048 grams; P(3): 4.09 grams. The result of one way ANOVA test showed that treatment group result (1,2, and 3) differed significantly with p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Group K(+) was significantly lower than in group K(-). Groups P(2) and P(3) were significantly higher than in the K(+) group. Group P(3) was significantly higher than group P(1). Group K(-) has differences but is not significant compared to groups P(1), P(2), and P(3). Compared with the K(+) group, the administration of cow milk kefir with a dose of 5 ml/KgBB/day and 10 ml KgBB/day significantly prevent low birth weight in pregnant mice (Rattus novergicus) exposed to cigarette smoke.
