Abstract
Pemenuhan kebutuhan ruang bermain di perkotaan belum terpenuhi secara maksimal. Keterbatasan lahan dan desain yang belum sesuai dengan perkembangan anak menjadi faktor pendukung. Arsitektur yang terbentuk dari persepsi manusia, membuat pertimbangan persepsi sebagai sumber informasi dalam proses perancangan. Persepsi yang digunakan adalah persepsi arsitek sebagai perancang dan memungkinkan adanya perbedaan ruang bermain dilihat dari persepsi sudut pandang anak sebagai pengguna ruang. Persepsi visual menjadi sumber informasi terbanyak yang dikenali oleh indera, khususnya anak sekolah dasar. Usia tersebut berada pada perkembangan pembelajaran visual dan pengetahuan koginitifnya yang saling mempengaruhi. Anak usia sekolah dasar tidak lagi mewakili objek dalam hubungan dengan dirinya sendiri, namun juga mewakili objek dalam hubungan interaksi antar satu dan lainnya. Sehingga persepsi visual mengenai ruang bermain dapat dijadikan informasi dasar perancangan yang memberikan karakter ruang tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi karakter ruang bermain berdasarkan persepsi visual anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam pengumpulan data, metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan gambar. Analisis data menggunakan sistem coding dan metode kritik seni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter ruang bermain harus aman, nyaman, lokasi mudah dijangkau, menarik perhatian, dan memperkaya pengetahuan anak mengenai sensitivitas lingkungan alami. Desain saat ini belum memenuhi sesuai perkembangannya, oleh karena itu ruang bermain semestinya tidak hanya secara bentuk dan estetika saja, namun juga mempertimbangkan perkembangan fisik dan kognitif anak.
English Abstract
The fulfillment of the needs of the playroom in urban areas have not been fulfilled to the maximum. Limitations of land and the design of which has not been in accordance with the child's development into a factor endowments. Architecture of human perception, reasoning perception as a source of information in the process of design. Perception is perception of the architect as designer and allow therehis difference playroom is seen from the point of view of perception of the child as a user space. Visual perception became the largest source of information known by the senses, especially elementary school children. The age of the development of visual learning and knowledge koginitifnya interplay. Elementary school age children no longer represent objects in relationship to himself, but also represents an object in the interaction between the one and the other. So that visual perception about the space of play can be used as basic information design that gives the character a certain space. The purpose of this research is to identify the characters play room based on visual perception of elementary school age children. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. In collecting the data, the methods used are observation, interviews, and pictures. Data analysis using a system of coding and art critique method. The results showed that the character of the playroom should be safe, convenient, easily accessible location, attracting attention, and enrich the knowledge of children about the natural environmental sensitivity. The current design has not met the corresponding development, therefore the playroom should be not only in the form and aesthetics, but also consider the physical and cognitive development of children.
