Abstract
Gaya kepemimpinanxmerupakanxpolaxtingkahxlaku yang dirancang untuk mengintegrasikan tujuanxorganisasi dengan tujuanxindividu untuk mencapai suatu tujuan dan gaya tersebut dapat digunakan oleh pemimpin untuk menilaixstaf atau bawahannya satu persatu. Di dalam organisasi rumahxsakit, kepalaxruangan adalah pimpinan yang langsungxmembawahi perawatxpelaksana dan pelaksanaanxtugas perawat di ruangxrawat inap merupakan suatu unsurxproses dalam manajemenxrumah sakit. Kepalaxruangan mempunyaixtugas untuk selalu mengingatkanxperawat pelaksanaxuntuk patuh dalam melaksanakan limaxmomen cuci tangan agar infeksixnosokomial dapat dikendalikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan terhadap kepatuhan lima momen cuci tangan perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit. Metode yang digunakan adalah analitik korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional design dengan menggunakan kuesioner untuk gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dan observasi untuk kepatuhan lima momen cuci tangan. Hasil penelitian terkait gaya kepemimpinan dan observasi kepatuhan lima momen cuci tangan didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: 1) dari 55 perawat di 7 ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Karsa Husada Batu didapatkan hasil bahwa sebagian besar perawat pelaksana mempersepsikan gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif sebanyak 37 perawat (67,3%), sebagian perawat pelaksana mempersepsikan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis sebanyak 17 perawat (30,9%), dan sebagian kecil perawat pelaksana mempersepsikan gaya kepemimpinan otoriter sebanyak 1 perawat (1,8%). 2) Hasil observasi kepatuhan momen cuci tangan perawat pelaksana didapatkan bahwa hampir semua perawat pelaksana patuh dalam melaksanakan momen cuci tangan sebanyak 35 perawat (63,6%) dan sebagian kecil perawat tidak patuh dalam melaksanakan momen cuci tangan sebanyak 20 perawat (36,4%). 3) Uji Spearman rank correlation dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kepatuhan momen cuci tangan didapatkan hasil nilai korelasi sebesar 0,365 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,006 lebih kecil dari α;(0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan terhadap kepatuhan lima momen cuci tangan. Arah hubungan positif yang artinya adalah gaya kepemimpinan demokratis mengakibatkan kepatuhan cuci tangan meningkat
English Abstract
Leadership style is a set of behavior designed to integratexorganizational goals with individualxgoals in order to achieve a goal and the style canxbe used by leadersxto assess their staff one by one. In the organization of the hospital, the head of the room is the leaderxwhoxdirectly supervises the nurses and the duties of the nurses in the inpatient room is an elementxof the process in hospitalxmanagement. The head of the room has the duty to always remind the nurse toxobey in carrying out the fivexmoments of hand hygiene so thatxnosocomialxinfections can bexcontrolled. The aim of this study is Identifying the effect of headxroom’s leadership style onxcompliance of moments hand hygiene for nurses at inpatient room in hospital. The method of this study is Correlative analytic cross sectional design using a questionnaire to the style of leadership and observation room for five moments of hand-washing compliance. Based on the results of the leadership style and observation five moments hand hygiene the following results were obtained: 1) 55 nurses in the 7 inpatient room Karsa Husada Batu Hospital were found that most nurses perceive participatory leadership style as many as 37 nursest (67,3%), some nurses perceive democratic leadership styles as many as 17 nurses (30.9%), and 1 nurse perceives authoritarian leadership style 1.8%).2) The results of moments hand hygiene compliance observation found that nearly all the nurses were obedient in carrying out the moments of hand hygiene as many as 35 nurses (63,6%) and a number of nurses did not obey in carrying out moments of washing hands as many as 20 nurses (36,4%). 3) Spearman rank correlation test was conducted to see the influence of leadership style on compliance with the moments of hand hygiene obtained by results of correlation value is 0,365, a significance value of 0.006 is smaller than α; (0.05). So it can be concluded that there is a significant impact between leadership style to compliance moments hand hygiene. The directions positive relationship which means is a democratic leadership style resulted in increased hand-hygiene compliance.
