Abstract
Konsumsi tape ketan putih bagi ibu hamil masih menjadi perdebatan di masyarakat. Tape ketan putih memiliki kandungan alkohol paling tinggi diantara tape jenis lainnya. Alkohol dapat memberikan dampak negatif terhadap sel-sel hematopoietik terutama sel darah putih sebagai sistem pertahanan tubuh. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air tape ketan putih terhadap jumlah sel darah putih pada tikus Rattus norvegicus L bunting. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental murni dengan rancangan penelitian Post Test Only Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 20 ekor tikus bunting yang selanjutnya dibagi kedalam 4 kelompok; satu kelompok kontrol (K), dan tiga kelompok perlakuan yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok dosis air tape ketan putih (P1=20 mL/KgBB; P2=30 mL/KgBB; P3=40 mL/KgBB). Paparan yang diberikan yaitu air tape ketan putih yang diberikan pada hari ke-1 sampai dengan hari ke-19 kebuntingan. Selanjutnya, pada hari ke-20 tikus dikorbankan lalu dilakukan pengambilan sampel darah dari jantung untuk dilakukan pengukuran jumlah sel darah putih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah sel darah putih setelah diberikan paparan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan p = 0,5 (p>0,0561) tetapi berdasarkan hasil uji d-type effect size pada dosis 40 mL/KgBB menunjukkan pengaruh yang sangat besar dengan ES=1.4170242 jika diibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi pearson tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan berlawanan arah p= -0,326 (p>0,5). Pemberian air tape ketan putih dengan kadar alkohol 2,79% cenderung menurunkan jumlah sel darah putih pada tikus bunting meskipun menunjukkan penurunan yang tidak signifikan (p = 0,561) jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol
English Abstract
Consumption of white fermented glutinous rice (WFGR) for pregnant women is still a debate in the community. WFGR has the highest alcohol content among other types of fermented food. Alcohol can have a negative impact on hematopoietic cells especially white blood cells as the body's defense system. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of WFGR water on the number of white blood cells in Rattus norvegicus L pregnant rats. This research is purely experimental with Post Test Only Control Group Design research design. The sample in this study were 20 pregnant rats which were then divided into 4 groups; one control group (K), and three treatment groups divided into 3 doses of WFGR water (P1 = 20 mL / KgBB; P2 = 30 mL / KgBB; P3 = 40 mL / KgBB). Exposure given is WFGR water given on the day-1 until the 19th day of pregnancy. Furthermore, on the 20th day the rats were sacrificed and blood samples taken from the heart were taken to measure the number of white blood cells. The results showed that white blood cell count after exposure did not show significant difference p = 0,5 (p> 0,0561) but based on result of d-type effect size test at 40 mL/KgBB dose showed very big effect with ES = 1.4170242 if compared with the control group. Based on the results of Pearson correlation test there is no significant relationship and opposite direction p = -0.326 (p> 0,5). The provision of WFGR water with alcohol content of 2.79% tended to decrease the number of white blood cells in pregnant rats although it showed an insignificant decrease (p = 0,561) when compared to the control group.
