Putra, M. Busyairi Mandala (2018) Hubungan Tingkat Stres Akademik Dengan Derajat Insomnia Pada Mahasiswa Keperawatan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Academic stress is one of the problems which nursing student have. Academic stress adaptation can affect student sleep patterns. This study aimed to measure the level of academic stress, to measure the level of insomnia and to analyze the correlation of academic stress levels with insomnia levels in nursing student of FKUB. This descriptive correlational study used crosssectional design. The samples were nursing student of FKUB year of 2014, 2015 and 2017 (n=180) by using purposive sampling technique. The result of students’ academic stress level showed that 32 students (17,8%) had a low level of academic stress, 115 students (63,9%) had a moderate level of academic stress and 33 students (18,3%) had a high level of academic stress. The measurement of students’ insomnia level showed that 34 students (18,9%) did not have insomnia, 58 students (32,2%) had a lower level of insomnia, 55 students (30,6%) had a moderate level of insomnia, and 33 students (18,3%) had a high level of insomnia. The result of pearson prouduct moment test at a 95% CI (a=0,05) resulteda p-value of 0,000 (p<0,05) with an average value of 49.0 and a standard deviation of 11.87 in the academic stres variable and variable insomnia has an average value of 10.45 and a standard deviation of 5.24, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation. The strength of correlation (r) was moderate with a value of 0,440. Direction of the correlation was positive (+) indicated that the higher level of students’ academic stress, the higher level of students’ insomnia.
