Abstract
Bagi orang-orang sasak di desa Kateng, proses merariq tidak bisa di lepaskan dari agenda pengukuhan status yang dinamakan perkawinan antar komunitas dalam satu kekerabatan yang luas (perkawinan endogami). Segala bentuk rangkaian acaranya ialah bersumber berdasarkan pokok-pokok adat yang khas dan panjang, dimana prosesproses itu mengandung makna tertentu sesuai dalam kaidah-kaidah agama dalam struktur ruang hidup yang dibangun semenjak leluhur mereka membiasakan diri, baik dari kawin lari, mesejati, selabar, tetikah, gawe urip atau banjar, nyongkolan, dan bejango atau nulak ones nae. Menariknya dari rangkaian prosesi itu selalu mengundang partisipasi kelompok besar dari masing-masing keluarga luas kedua mempelai dan tidak tampak sedikit pun raut kelelahan diwajah mereka, semuanya merasa senang dan bahagia. Namun melihat kemeriahan proses acara terdapat semacam penguatan relasi yang beetujuan menjaga kepentingan otoritas kelompok, dan itu digambarkan melalui pembahasan ketika prosesi selabaran menyangkut penetapan besarnya jumlah tanah yang digunakan sebagai mas kawin untk dibayarkan oleh pihak keluarga mempelai laki-laki kepada mempelai perempua. Kemudian terjadilah tawar-menawar panjang hingga mencapai kesepakatan dari kedua pihak, pengambilan keputusan itu memenuhi serangkaian pertimbangan akan motif-motif terpendam yang di produksi secara turuntemurun dalam ikatan satu kekerabatan, hal ini terikat pada masa lalu diantara peristiwa-peristiwa leluhur mereka atau sanak keluarga luasnya menyangkut tanah yang dulu di berikan sebagai mas kawin, seakan-akan tradisi ini merupakan ungkapannyata bagi kedua pihak untuk balas-membalas perebutan sumber daya yang bertujuan saling mengikat dan menguatkan relasi produksi komunitas orang-orang sasak di desa Kateng.
English Abstract
For sasak people in Kateng village, the process of re-organization cannot be separated from the agenda of inauguration of status called inter-community marriage in one broad kinship (endogamy marriage). All forms of the series of events are sourced based on typical and long customary points, where the processes contain certain meanings according to religious rules in the structure of living space built since their ancestors used to be, kawin lari, mesejati, selabar, tetikah, gawe urip or banjar, nyongkolan, and bejango or nulak ones nae. Interestingly, from the series of processions invariably invited the participation of large groups from each of the extended families of the two brides and did not appear to be the least bit tired on their faces, all of them feeling happy and happy. But seeing the excitement of the process of the event there is a kind of strengthening of relations aimed at safeguarding the interests of group authority, and that is illustrated through discussion during the procession concerning the determination of the amount of land used as dowry to be paid by the groom's family to the bride. Then there was a long bargain until an agreement was reached from both parties, the decision making fulfilled a series of considerations on the hidden motives produced by generations in a single kinship bond, this was bound to the past between the events of their ancestors or relatives the extended family involved land previously given as dowry, as if this tradition was a real expression for both parties to avenge the struggle for resources aimed at mutually binding and strengthening the production relations of the community of sasak people in Kateng village.
