Abstract

Pada hakikatnya manusia telah ditakdirkan mati, kematian seseorang yang dicintai, seperti orang tua, anak, maupun kerabat adalah sesuatu yang tidak bisa dihindari. Seseorang yang dicintai itu adalah Ibu, sebagai seorang anak penulis merasakan penyesalan karena belum bisa memberikan apapun termasuk tanggung jawab penulis untuk menyelesaikan bangku perkuliahan, sosok wanita yang tercipta begitu istimewa. Sosok wanita yang lebih istimewa adalah Maria, menurut Perillo (2015, hal. 13) dalam buku Do You Know Our Lady, Maria disebut juga dengan “Hawa Baru” pada abad ke-4 ketika Kristen menjadi agama negara Romawi. Pemikiran tentang Maria mengalami perkembangan pada abad ke-21. Paus Benediktus XVI, yang mengutip pandangan teologi Hugo Rahner (1900-1968), seorang teolog Katolik, menyatakan bahwa gereja sesungguhnya adalah Maria itu sendiri, yaitu suci dan Ibu. Penulis merepresentasikan bunda Maria sebagai Ibu berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi penulis dengan menggunakan metode yang dijelaskan oleh SP Gustami untuk proses penciptaan, metode tersebut terdiri dari tiga proses yaitu eksplorasi, perencanaan, dan perwujudan karya. Hasil karya yang penulis hasilkan berupa tujuh karya seni menggunakan teknik sulam dengan bahan benang yang diaplikasikan pada kain dengan judul “Wanita”, “Kerendahan Hati”, “Kesatuan Maria”, “Wanita dan Keturunannya”, “Maria Bunda Segala Suku”, dan “Rehamim”. Melalui karya-karya tersebut penulis berharap dapat memberi penghargaan bagi Ibu (Alm) lewat karya tugas akhir ini.

English Abstract

Essentially humans have been destined to death, the death of lovely someone, such as a parent, child, or relative is something that can not be avoided. One of the beloved is a mother. As a child the author feels regret for not being able to give anything including the responsibility of the author to finish the lecture bench, the figure of the woman who created so special. The most special woman figure in the eyes of author is Mary. According to Perillo (2015, p.13) in Do You Know Our Lady, Mary is also called the "New Eve" in the fourth century when Christianity became the religion of the Roman state. The thought of Mary has developed in the 21st century. Pope Benedict XVI, who quotes the theological view of Hugo Rahner (1900-1968), a Catholic theologian, declares that the church is actually Mary itself, that is holy and Mother. The author represents Mary as Mother based on the author's personal experience using the method described by SP Gustami for the creation process, the method consists of three processes: exploration, planning, and the realization of the work. The work of the authors produced seven works of art using embroidered techniques with yarn materials applied to fabrics with the titles of "Women", "Humility," "Unity of Mary," "Women and Their Descents", "Mary the Mother of All Tribes", and " Rehamim ". Through these works the author hopes to reward Mother (Alm) through this final work.
