Abstract
Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Jenis dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui jumlah event yang telah diselenggarakan pada tahun 2016 dan 2017, (2) mengetahui gambaran sistem dan proses penyelenggaraan event di FIA UB untuk mengetahui kelemahan-kelemahan yang ada, (3) melakukan analisis dan sistem informasi berbasis komputer yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi kelemahan-kelemahan yang ada pada sistem serta alur proses penyelenggaraan event yang ada saat ini. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa proses penyelenggaraan dari pembuatan proposal, perijinan proposal event, pembukuan dan pencatatan ruangan sampai dengan penyelenggaraan event masih manual, yakni menggunakan proposal berbentuk hardcopy untuk diajukan perijinannya. Kelemahan-kelemahan yang ada dengan sistem yang berjalan saat ini adalah proposal berbentuk hardcopy yang membutuhkan banyak tempat untuk pengarsipan, proses pembukuan, pencatatan serta penginformasian ruangan masih manual sehingga penyelenggara event maupun Wakil Dekan III harus mengkonfirmasi Sub. Bagian Umum dan Perlengkapan terlebih dahulu untuk menyelenggarakan dan mengijinkan event dan belum adanya koordinasi antara penyelenggara event yang satu dengan event lainnya, sehingga dapat terjadi crash dan untuk memastikan ketersediaan ruangan harus menghubungi pihak Sub Bagian Umum dan Perlengkapan terlebih dahulu. Usulan berupa rancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Event di Perguruan Tinggi yang terdiri dari Workflow, Use Case Diagram, Diagram Konteks, Data Flow Diagram, dan Desain Database dengan Entity Relationship Diagram ini dapat menyelesaikan berbagai kekurangan tersebut, dan rancangan sistem tersebut dapat diimplementasikan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi sebagai usulan dalam memperbaiki kelemahan yang dialami saat ini dengan membangun sistem berbasis komputer dengan pemrograman web terlebih dahulu
English Abstract
This research was conducted at Faculty of Administrative Science, Brawijaya University, Malang. The type of this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The purposes of this research are (1) to understand the number of events that have just happened in 2016 and 2017, (2)to assess on how events enforcement systems and processes performed at FIA UB, (3) to find weaknesses of the systems and processes of events enforcement and (4) to analyze and design computer-based information systems that can be implemented to overcome the current weaknesses of its event enforcement systems and the processes. Based on research that has done, it can be understood that the process of event enforcement processes starting with writing proposal, event proposal approval, room booking until event implementation was still using manual processes. This institution uses a hardcopy form of event proposal as a part of event approval processes. The Weaknesses that have existed with this systems are hardcopy form of proposals that required much space for proposal storage, manual room reservation and information so at first event organizers who want to enforce Event, in this case is the Vice Dean III who wants to approve event approval needs to confirm about room availability to Equipment administration office and this institution still don’t have any coordination system between event organizer to other event organizers. This will cause a potential event crash happen. To make sure a room is available to use, event organizer needs to contact Equipment Administration Office first. This Event Management Information System Design which consists Workflow, Use Case Diagram, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, and Database Design with Entity Relationship Diagram can overcome the weaknesses, and Faculty of Administrative Science can implement this system design as a proposal for improving current weaknesses by building the computerbased system with web programming at first
