Abstract
Tanah merupakan salah saw penentu keberhasilan pertanian di Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu kondisi kesehatan fisik dan kimia tanah perlu diperhatikan. Di Indonesia kerusakan sifat fisik dan kimia tanah banyak sekali terjadi dan disebabkan oleh berbagai macam masalah. Salah satunya adalah dampak dari letusan gunung berapi. Diwilayah Jawa Timur contohnya adalah letusan Gunung Kelud yang mengakibatkan kerusakan sifat fisik dan kimia tanah. Lahan pertanian yang terdarnpak letusan Gunung Kelud memiliki tekstur pasir sehingga sulit untuk mengikat unsur hard dan air. Hal ini berdampak pada tuninnya hasil produksi pertanian. Oleh karena itu telah dilakukan berbagai upaya perbaikan sifat fisik dan sifat kimia tanah salah satunya dengan penggunaan pembenah tanah.Pembenah tanah adalah bahan‐bahan sintetis daniatau alami, organik daniatau mineral berbentuk padat daniatau cair yang mampu memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia daniatau biologi tanah.Penelitian ini menggunakan pembenah tanah sintesis Ca‐mix sebagai upaya perbaikan sifat fisik dan sifat kimia tanah lereng Gunung Kelud.Pembenah tanah Ca‐mix ini mengandung banyak kation bass seperti Ca+ dan Mg+ yang diharapkan dapat mengikat unsur Kara agar tidak mudah tercuci. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2018 — Juli 2018 di Rurnah Kaca, Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian, Jalan Rya Karangploso, Malang, Jawa Timur. Terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan ialah Perlakuan A (Tang) lereng Gunung Kelud), B (Tanah lereng Gunung Kelud +Pupuk Organik 10t ha ‐1), C (Tanah lereng Gunung Kelud+ Ca‐mix 2.5 t ha ‐1), D (Tanah lereng Gunung Kelud + Ca‐mix 5 t ha‐1), E (Tanah lereng Gunung Kelud ‐I‐Ca‐mix 10 t ha‐1), F (Tanah lereng Kelud+ t ha‐1), G (Tanah lereng Gunung Kelud + Ca‐mix 20 t ha‐1). Untuk parameter yang diamati ialah berat isi, berat jenis, porositas, penetrasi, konduktivitas hidrolik jenuh, kadar air pF, kapasitas tukar kation dan C‐organik tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Ca‐mix berpengaruh nyata terhadap beberapa parameter seperti berat isi, porositas, penetrasi, konduktivitas hidrolik jenuh, kadar air tanah dan kapasitas tukar kation tanah. Pengaruh perlakuan pada setiap parameter ini dipengaruhi oleh lama waktu inkubasi tanah, dimana semakin lama waktu inkubasi tanah berbanding lams dengan peningkatan nilai setiap parameter.
English Abstract
Soil is one of successful determinant in agriculture sector of Indonesia. Therefore, the health condition ofsoil such as its physical and chemical properties need to be considered. In Indonesia, the damage physical and chemical properties of sothstrequentlyhappened and it is caused by various problems. One of them is the impact of volcanic eruption. As example, the eruption of Kelud Mountain in East Java region which resulted in damage to physical and chemical properties of soil. Agricultural land which affected by the eruption of Kelud Mountain has sand texture. this it is hard to bind nutrients and water. This contributed to the decrement of agricultural production. Therefore, it has made various efforts to improve the physical properties and chemical properties of the soil either by the use of improved soil. Improved soil is synthetic materials and/or natural, organik and/or mineral which in the form of solid and/or liquid that can improve the physical properties, chemical andlor biological of soil. This study used synthesized Ca‐mix as improved soil to improve the physical and chemical properties of slope landin Kelud Mountain. Improved Ca‐mix soil contained a lot of alkali cation such as Ca‐ and Mg‐ were expected to bind the nutrients that were not easily washed. The study was conducted in February 2018 ‐ July 2018 at the Greenhouse, Bnp, Karangploso, Malang, East Java. Consisting of 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment used was Treatment A (Top soil of Kelud Mountain), B (Top soil of Kelud Mountain + Organik Fertilizer 10 t ha‐I), C (Top soil of Kelud Mountain ‐4‐ Ca‐mix 2,5 t had), D (Top soil of Kelud Mountain + Ca‐mix 5 t had), E (Top soil of Kelud Mountain + Ca‐mix 10 t had), F (Top soil of Kelud Mountain + Ca‐mix 15 t ha"), G (Top soil of Kelud Mountain + Ca‐mix 20 t ha‐1). For the observed parameters bulk density, particle density, soil porosity, soil penetration. saturated hydraulic conductivity, water content pF, cation exchange capacity, and soil organic carbon. The results showed that the adding of Ca‐mix did significantly affect several parameters such as bulk density, soil porosity, soil penetration, saturated hydraulic conductivity and cation exchange capacity. The treatment effect on each of these parameters was effected by the length of incubation period, where the longer the time of incubation of the soil is directly proportional to increase the ti al ue of each parameters.
