English Abstract
This research aimed to know the effect of makroeconomic conditions such as inflation rate, SBI rate, and economic growth towards Rupiah exchange rate. Types of research used in descriptive research with quantitative approach. The sample was based on three monthly time series data from 2003-2012used full sampling method which is consist of 24 samples. This research was conducted in Bank Indonesia, The Financial Services Authority, and Central State of Staistics since it has the only purpose that is achieving and maintaining value stabilitation of rupiah. This research used multiple linear regression method. According to the result of simultaneous test (F test), indicating that SBI rate, lending, and import has significant effect on rupiah exchange rate simultaneously. While the partial test results (T test), indicates that SBI rate, lending, a significantly effect on rupiah exchange rate. The other result, export and inflation showed insignificant effect on rupiah exchange rate partially.
