Abstract

Perdana Menteri Shinzo Abe dan parlemen Jepang menghadirkan sebuah kontroversi historis dengan meloloskan Legislation for Peace and Security di tengah konflik yang terjadi di kawasan Asia Timur. Konstitusi Pasifis yang telah diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan politik Jepang mulai bermanuver dan dianggap menyimpang dari Doktrin Yoshida yang selama ini mendapat dukungan dari mayoritas masyarakat. Trauma akan imbas dari perang dunia membuat masyarakat Jepang percaya bahwa mereka harus selamanya menjauhi perang seperti apa yang tertuang dalam pasal sembilan Konstitusi Jepang. Mengesampingkan membludaknya protes domestik dan pro-kontra opini internasional, serta skandal-skandal yang terjadi dalam negeri, Legislation for Peace and Security dikeluarkan pada tahun 2015 di masa pemerintahan Perdana Menteri Shinzo Abe.

English Abstract

Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, and the National Diet proposed a historical controversy by passing Legislation for Peace and Security amid the ongoing conflicts and tensions in East Asia. The Pacificist Constitution which has been implemented in Japanese political governemnt began to maneuver and was considered to deviate from the Doctrine of Yoshida, which has so far received the support of the majority of society. The impacts of the world war has traumatized the Japanese society and made them believe that they must forever renounce war as contained in the article nine of Japanese Constitution. Ruling out domestic protests, pros and cons of international opinion, as well as domestic scandals, Legislation for Peace and Security was issued in 2015 during the administration of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
