Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengelaborasi tujuan, fungsi, dan proses bisnis yang dijalankan oleh komunitas, termasuk pula gagasan-gagasan bisnis yang dicanangkan oleh tiga komunitas, yaitu Komunitas Tanpa Riba (KTR), Komunitas Pengusaha Muslim Indonesia (KPMI), dan Vigur Organik. Menggunakan paradigma kualitatif-interpretif, penelitian ini menemukan beberapa poin orisinil. Pertama, dengan latar belakang sejarah yang beragam, komunitas tengah berjuang mewujudkan ekonomi umat yang lebih maju dan dari ketiganya, hanya Vigur Organik yang mampu membangun mentalitas wirausahawan. Kedua, komunitas sepakat bahwa “tauhid” adalah landasan utama kegiatan ekonomi yang kemudian berkembang menjadi konsep “bisnis organik” dan “ekonomi kejujuran”, masing-masing berkembang di KTR dan Vigur Organik. Ketiga, keberhasilan bisnis dipengaruhi oleh etos kerja dan gejolak pasar, adapun kepatuhan pada larangan riba, gharar, maisir, dan zalim hanya mendorong ketenangan batin semata. Dan terakhir, keempat, hanya Vigur Organik yang diprediksi mampu mengejar target bisnis, sementara KTR dan KPMI belum, sebab pergeseran paradigma dari gerakan bisnis ke gerakan sosial dan kinerja organisasi yang lemah. Ini pulalah yang disebut semacam terjadi inkonsistensi gerakan para praktisi ekonomi Islam.

English Abstract

This study focuses to elaborate objectives, functions, and processes of business that initiated by three communities; Anti-Riba Community, Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community, and Vigur Organik. This study uses qualitativeinterpretive paradigm to find some original results. First, by diverse historical backgrounds, the communities attempt to implement an advance economy, but this study find that Vigur Organik is the only community that is capable to raise entrepreneurial mentality. Second, the communities approve that "tauhid" is the main foundation of economic activities. That approval subsequently become the concept of "organic business" and "honesty economy", each concept is developed at Anti-Riba Community and Vigur Organik. Third, the success of business is influenced by work ethic and market fluctuation, while compliance to the prohibition of usury, gharar, maisir, and zalim only encourage inner peace. Fourth, in this study, Vigur Organik is the only community that predicted to reach business targets, while Anti-Riba Community and Indonesian Muslim Enterpreneurs Community are predicted that unable to do it because the shift of paradigm from business movement to social movement and the falling of organizational performance. This occurrence is also called as inconsistency of Islamic economic movement by practitioners.
