Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kondisi para peserta Program Desaku Menanti yang mengalami kondisi yang sulit berkembang karena lokasi Kampung Wisata Topeng yang sepi pengunjung. Oleh karena itu, yang menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana Strategi Bertahan Hidup Peserta Program Desaku Menanti dalam Menghadapi Sepinya Lokasi Kampung Wisata Topeng. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan memahami strategi bertahan hidup yang dilakukan peserta Program Desaku Menanti dalam menghadapi sepinya lokasi Kampung Wisata Topeng. Sehingga manfaat yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah peserta Program Desaku Menanti dapat melakukan strategi bertahan hidup dalam kondisi yang sangat sulit berkembang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kajian tentang Teori Mekanisme Survival James Scott, Mekanisme Survival ini digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana strategi bertahan hidup yang digunakan oleh peserta Program Desaku Menanti dalam menghadapi sepinya lokasi Kampung Wisata Topeng. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskripstif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sepinya lokasi Kampung Wisata Topeng memiliki dampak kepada perekonomian peserta Program Desaku Menanti. Untuk tetap bertahan hidup peserta Program Desaku Menanti harus melakukan strategi bertahan hidup, di antarannya : 1) Mengurangi jumlah konsumsi sehari-hari dengan hanya makan sekali dalam sehari dan memilih makan yang memiliki mutu lebih rendah. 2) Mencari alternatif pekerjaan lainnya, seperti ikut grup orkes di luar Desaku Menanti. 3) Menerapkan resiprositas dengan jaringan sosial yang dimiliki, seperti mematuhi aturan yang telah dibuat Dinas Sosial Kota Malang di Desaku Menanti dan juga meminta Dinas Sosial Kota Malang mencarikan pekerjaan. 4) Menerima bantuan yang ada, baik dari pemerintah maupun dermawan/kelompok, seperti bantuan sembako yang telah diberikan Dinas Sosial Kota Malang setiap bulan dan bantuan lainnya dari dermawan maupun institusi atau kelompok.
English Abstract
This study discusses the conditions of the Desaku Menanti Program participants who experience conditions that are difficult to develop due to the location of the Kampung Wisata Topeng which is quite of visitors. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is How The Survival Strategy of Desaku Menanti Program Participants in Facing of The Quiet Location of Kampung Wisata Topeng. The purpose of this study was to find out and understand the survival strategies carried out by the participants in the Desaku Menanti Program in the face of the quite location of Kampung Wisata Topeng. So that the benefits that can be drawn from this study are participants of the Desaku Menanti Program can carry out a survival strategy in conditions that are very difficult to develop. In this study using a study of James Scott's Survival Mechanism Theory, this Survival Mechanism was used to describe how the survival strategy used by the program participants in Desaku Menanti in the face of the quite location of Kampung Wisata Topeng. This research method uses qualitative with descriptive method. Data collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the quiet location of Kampung Wisata Topeng has an impact on the economy of the Desaku Menanti Program participants. In order to survive, the participants in the Desaku Menanti Program must carry out a survival strategy, which includes : 1) Reducing the amount of daily consumption by only eating once a day and choosing foods that have lower quality. 2) Looking for alternative employment, such as joining an orchestra group outside Desaku Menanti. 3) Applying reciprocity with the social networks that are owned, such as complying with the rules that have been made by the Dinas Sosial Kota Malang in Desaku Menanti and also asking the Dinas Sosial Kota Malang to find a job. 4) Receive existing assistance, both from the government and benefactors / groups, such as the basic food assistance that has been given by Dinas Sosial Kota Malang every month and other assistance from benefactors and institutions or groups.
