Abstract

Pemenuhan kesejahteraan yang baik kepada siswa berbakat akademik oleh sekolah bersistem full day school akan membuat para siswa memiliki kesempatan lebih untuk dapat memaksimalkan kemampuan yang mereka miliki. Kesejahteraan yang dimaksud ialah sebuah keadaan sekolah yang memungkinkan individu untuk memuaskan kebutuhan dasarnya yang meliputi dimensi having, loving, being, dan health. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran school well-being pada siswa berbakat akademik tingkat SMP bersistem full day school. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan model fenomenologi. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah keseluruhan sebanyak enam subjek yang memenuhi kriteria siswa berbakat akademik di sekolah bersistem full day school, yaitu SMP Negeri 13 Malang dan SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Penelitian ini menghasilkan gambaran dimana masing-masing subjek siswa berbakat akademik pada kedua sekolah bersistem full day school telah memiliki school well-being pada dimensi having, loving, being, dan health.

English Abstract

Fulfillment of good well-being for academic achievement student of full-day school will make students have more opportunities to maximize their academic ability. The school well-being is school condition that allows students to satisfy their basic needs on dimensions of having, loving, being, and health. The main goal of this research was to know how the description of school well-being in junior high school academic achievement student (SMP) for full-day school system in Malang. This research uses qualitative research method of phenomenology. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with the total of subjects are six students with academic achievement criteria in full-day school, that are two students of SMP Negeri 13 Malang and four students of SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang. The technique of data retrieval is done by interview, observation, and documentation study. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman analysis technique. The data validity is done by using the triangulation technique. This research produces a description where each subject in the full day school system have a school well-being on dimensions of having, loving, being, and health.
