Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang strategi keamanan energi Amerika Serikat dalam upaya mengatasi keterbatasan supli impor minyak tahun 2012-2015. Energi minyak memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk Amerika Serikat. Sebagai penggerak ekonomi salah satunya. Ancaman terhadap ketersediaan energi akan berdampak terhadap stabilitas ekonomi Amerika Serikat. Sehingga Amerika Serikat perlu menjamin suatu tindakan tertentu untuk menghadapi ancaman tersebut. Amerika Serikat merupakan konsumn energi minyak terbesar di dunia. Namun tingginya nilai konsumsi energi minyak Amerika Serikat berbanding dengan nilai produksi domestic yang dihasilkan. Tingginya permintaan terhadap energi minyak mendorong Amerika Serikat untuk melakukan aktifitas impor. Namun hal tidak menjamin bahwa kebutuhan terhadap energi minyak selalu terpenuhi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serta memaparkan apa saja tindakan dan strategi yang dilakukan oleh Amerika Serikat untuk menjaga keamanan energi domestiknya dalam menghadapi ketergantungan dan keterbatasan terhadap supli asing, dengan menggunakan konsep energi Mason Willrich.
English Abstract
This study is examines The Energy Security Strategy of United States to Facing The Limitation of Oil Impor Year of 2012-2015. Energy is the driving wheel for the United States Economic. Energy security threats will be threaten United States Economic which can impact on the economic stability. Based on the situation the United States need the action to ensure they energy security. The United States is the largest oil energy consumption in the world. Through the high value of U.S oil energy consumption, is not comparable with the domestic oil product. The high demand of oil energy, has prompted the United States to carry out import activities. Nevertheless, that activity has not been the guarantee to ensure energy security of the United States. This study aim to describe and explain the kind of actions and strategies which carried out by the United States to ensure its domestic energy security by means to facing oil impor dependence and limitation of foreign supply by using Mason Willrich Concept.
