Abstract

Coral Triangle merupakan pusat terumbu karang yang membentang dari Indonesia, Malaysia, Filipina, Papua Nugini, Timor Leste, dan Kepulauan Solomon. Akan tetapi, wilayah yang dijuluki amazon dunia ini mengalami degradasi terumbu karang akibat global warming dan aktivitas manusia yang merusak. Permasalahan ini mendorong adanya Global Marine Governance, upaya mengelola bersama antara aktor state maupun non-state untuk mengatasi isu lingkungan di Coral Triangle sebagai jantung terumbu karang dunia. Indonesia sebagai negara yang memiliki keaneragaman hayati terbanyak bekerja sama dengan Consorsium Non-Govermental Organization (NGO) dalam mengatasi degradasi terumbu karang melalui Marine Protected Area Governance (MPAG) di bawah kerja sama Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF). Peran yang dilakukan MPAG ini untuk memenuhi komitmen Indonesia mewujudkan 20 juta hektar Marine Protected Area (MPA) pada tahun 2020 dalam Wolrd Ocean Conference dan CTI-CFF pada tahun 2009.

English Abstract

The coral Triangle is the center of coral reefs stretching from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and the Solomon Islands. However, the area that called of the amazon amazon of the sea was degraded due to global warming and human activity. The issue is encouraging the presence of Global Marine Governance, efforts to manage together between state and non-state actors to address environmental issues in the Coral Triangle as the heart of the coral reefs of the world. Indonesia as a country that has the largest biodiversity in that area had worked with a Non-Govermental Organization (NGO) Consorsium to fix the degradation of coral reefs through Marine Protected Areas Governance (MPAG) under the cooperation of Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF). The role of this MPAG had done to achieve Indonesia's commitment to realize 20 million ha of Marine Protected areas (MPA) on 2020 in the Wolrd Ocean Conference and CTI-CFF on 2009.
