Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi partisipatif yang terjadi antara pemerintah desa, Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Podang Lestari dengan masyarakat lokal dalam membangun desa wisata Joho dengan menerapkan konsep community based tourism. Penelitian ini mengggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptis yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pemerintah dan Pokdarwis Podang Lestari dalam upaya menciptakan sadar wisata bagi masyarakat lokal di sekitar desa wisata. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa melalui upaya komunikatif yang dibentuk oleh pemerintah desa dan Pokdarwis Podang Lestari dalam mewujudkan gagasan desa wisata adalah melalui dialog dengan orang-orang di luar kelompok sadar. Media komunikasi yang digunakan oleh pemerintah desa bersama Pokdarwis podang Lestari serta masyarakat lokal dalam menyampaikan pesan berupa informasi dengan cara melalui musyawarah, cangkrukan dan whatshapp. Peran komunikasi partisipatif masyarakat desa Joho menunjukkan partisipasi mereka dalam setiap kegiatan kelompok yang dilakukan oleh Pokdariws seperti kegiatan kerja bakti, sosialisasi, dan penyuluhan.
English Abstract
This study uses participatory communication theory that occurs between the village government, Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) Podang Lestari and local communities in building Joho tourism village by applying the concept of community based tourism. This research uses qualitative descriptive method which aims to determine the role of the government and Pokdarwis Podang Lestari in an effort to create tourism awareness for local communities around the tourist village. The results showed that through the communicative efforts formed by the village government and Pokdarwis Podang Lestari in realizing the idea of village tourism was through dialogue with people outside the conscious group. The communication media used by the village government together with Pokdarwis podang Lestari and the local community in conveying messages in the form of information through deliberation, collision and whatshapp. The role of participatory communication in the Joho village community shows their participation in each group activity carried out by Pokdariws such as community service activities, socialization, and counseling.
