Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan didasari bahwa waktu luang yang dimiliki setiap siswa SMA sering kali disalah gunakan karena sudah ada media sosial, para siswa SMA ini lebih sering menghabiskan waktunya untuk melihat sosial media tersebut. Dilatarbelakangi oleh bagaimana siswa/i di lokasi penelitian sering kali lupa waktu karena asik untuk mengakses internet dan media sosial di sekolah, dan sekolah pun memfasilitasinya dengan memasang wifi di sekolah tersebut. Berangkat dari fasilitas yang disediakan oleh pihak sekolah disana yang bertujuan memudahkan proses belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta. Melalui fasilitas ini para siswa/i akan dimudahkan untuk belajar, mencari materi, dan mengembangkan kreatifitas yang mereka miliki. Fasilitias yang dibuat dengan asumsi untuk meningkatkan nilai dan membuat rajin para siswa/i di SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta, serta meningkatkan nilainilai ulangan para siswa/i di sekolah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat dan menjelaskan serta menganalisa bagimana hubungan antara kedua variabel, yaitu tingkat intensitas waktu luang dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 87 Jakarta Selatan. Serta respon dari murid selaku responden mengenai tema penelitian ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis inferensial non parametris. Lokasi penelitian ini terletak di SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta Selatan. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah para siswa/i kelas X dan XI IPA dan IPS di SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta tersebut. Teknik penentuan responden dan pembagian jumlah responden yang digunakan adalah stratified random sampling, yang sebelumnya menggunakan rumus Yamane untuk menentukan total respodennya. Analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan crosstab dan correlation spearman, dan untuk uji korelasi menggunakan uji korelasi bivariate pearson. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut : ada hubungan yang dihasilkan antara kedua variabel, hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa tingkat intensitas waktu luang berada pada level sedang dengan hubungan terhadap tingkat intensitas pemanfaatan media sosial yang juga sedang, dan juga analisis spearman menunjukan bahwa dapat disimpulkan bahwa HO ditolak maka ada hubungan antara tingkat intensitas waktu luang siswa/i dengan tingkat intensitas penggunaan media sosial pada siswa/i SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta tersebut. Pada hasil uji statistik menunjukkan angka koefisien sebesar 0,279 dengan 0,1 sebagai signifikasi yang artinya hubungan antara kedua variabel berada pada tingkat korelasi cukup kuat, dan hasil dari uji validitas instrumen dengan Korelasi Pearson terhadap angket Intensitas Waktu Luang dan Intensitas Pemanfaatan Media Sosial diperoleh nilai r hitung setiap item memenuhi syarat yaitu > 0,361 sehingga 36 item valid dan dapat dilanjutkan.

English Abstract

This research examines based on the free time of every high school student that often misused and because there is already social media, these high school students spend more time looking at the social media. Based on how students at the research location often forget time because they are fun to access the internet and social media at school, and the school facilitates it by installing wifi at the school. Based on the facilities provided by the school there which aims to facilitate the learning process of students in SMA Negeri 87 Jakarta. Through this facility students will be facilitated to learn, find material, and develop creativity. The facilities are made with the assumption to increase the value and to engage the students in learning in Jakarta Public High School 87, and to increase the test scores of the students in the school. The purpose of this study was to observ and explain and also analyze the relationship between the two variables, namely the level of intensity of leisure time with the intensity of the use of social media in the State Senior High School 87 South Jakarta, as well as responses from students as respondents regarding the theme of this research. The research method used is quantitative research using inferential nonparametric analysis. The location of this research is located in SMA Negeri 87 South Jakarta. Respondents from this study were the students of class X and XI of Science and Social Sciences in Jakarta 87 State High School. The technique of determining the respondents and the distribution of the number of respondents used was stratified random sampling, which previously used the Yamane formula to determine the total respondents. The analysis used was by using crosstab and spearman correlation, and for correlation test using bivariate Pearson correlation test. The results obtained from this study are as follows: there is an influence generated between the two variables, it shows that the level of intensity of leisure time is at a moderate level with the influence on the level of intensity of use of social media which is also moderate, and also Spearman analysis shows that H0 is rejected, then there is a relationship between the level of intensity of students' leisure time with the intensity level of social media use in the 87 Jakarta State Senior High School students. The results of the statistical test show the coefficient number is 0.279 with 0,1 as signification which means that the relationship between the two variables is at a fairly strong correlation level, and the results of the instrument validity test with Pearson Correlation of Leisure Time Intensity questionnaire and Social Media Utilization Intensity obtained the value of r count for each item that fulfilled the requirements > 0.361 so 36 items are valid and can be continued.
