Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen between subject. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran trait self-control pada pengaruh social exclusion terhadap perilaku agresif. Partisipan yang berjumlah 80 mahasiswa jurusan Psikologi Universitas Brawijaya dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok yang mendapat feedback future alone dan neutral. Social exclusion dikondisikan dalam bentuk feedback yang diberikan sebelum mengisi Self-Control Scale (SCS) untuk mengukur tingkat self-control. Kemudian perilaku agresif diukur menggunakan Reputation Damage Procedure (RDP). Hasil analisis menggunakan bootstrap menunjukkan social exclusion tidak mepengaruhi perilaku agresif karena tidak terbukti pada ketiga aspek yaitu aspek ketidakadilan, keagresifan, dan ketidakterampilan (p < .05). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa trait selfcontrol tidak memiliki peran dalam pengaruh social exclusion terhadap perilaku agresif (p > .05). Analisis tambahan menunjukkan trait self-control memiliki kecenderungan meningkatkan perilaku agresif pada aspek adil (p < .05).
English Abstract
This research is a quantitative research experimentsexperimental between subjectdesign. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of trait selfcontrol on the influence of social exclusion on aggressive behavior. Participants who are 80 students majoring in Psychology, UB's divided into two groups that received futures alonefeedback. and neutral Social exclusion is conditioned in the form of feedback given before filling Self-Control Scale (SCS) to measure levels of self-control. Then the aggressive behavior was measured using Damage Reputation Procedure (RDP). Resultsanalysis using bootstrap indicate social exclusion does not affect aggressive behavior because it is not evident in all three aspects, there are fair, aggressive, and skilled (p <.05). The results also show that the trait of selfcontrol did not have a role ininfluence social exclusion on aggressive behavior (p> .05). Additional analysis showed the trait of self-control has a tendency to increase aggressive behavior in fair aspect (p <.05).
