Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan dilakukan di Kota Tarakan. Kota Tarakan memiliki posisi yang strategis bagi provinsi Kalimantan Utara, yaitu merupakan pintu gerbang dan pusat transit perdagangan antar pulau di wilayah Kalimantan Utara, dan juga antar negara dikawasan ini yaitu Indonesia-Malaysia-Philipina. Salah satu objek wisata yang menjadi primadona di kota ini adalah Pantai Amal. Pantai Amal merupakan salah satu wisata bahari yang ada di Tarakan. Pantai Amal ini terletak di Kecamatan Tarakan Timur, Kelurahan Pantai Amal. Pada daerah timur ini, pemerintah sedang merencanakan pengembangan objek wisata dan bahari. Pantai Amal ini bukan hanya sekedar objek wisata pantai biasa, namun kawasan ini juga menjadi tempat merayakan acara adat. Acara adat tersebut dilaksanakan setiap tanggal 15 Desember setiap 2 tahun sekali, sekaligus untuk memperingati ulang tahun Kota Tarakan. Acara adat ini disebut dengan “Iraw Tengkayu”. Hal ini merupakan hal yang paling menarik wisatawan untuk datang ke Tarakan pada bulan Desember . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa faktor alam dan faktor budaya dapat berpengaruh juga dalam merancang suatu objek kawasan wisata waterpark. Proses perancangan ini juga dikaitkan dengan standart-standart perancangan suatu objek kawasan wisata waterpark. Berdasarkan standart tersebut dapat menghasilkan variabel yang nantinya akan di analisis hingga memunculkan suatu sintesa yang dapat membantu dalam mengkonsep perancangan kawasan wisata waterpark. Hasil dari perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan kawasan wisata waterpark dimasa yang akan datang. Pendekatan perancangan ini yaitu deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan cara mendeskripsikan atau menceritakan kembali secara tertulis hasil dari survei lapangan dan hasil wawancara dengan pemerintah setempat tentang konsep pengembangan kawasan wisata waterpark. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yaitu metode pragmatis. Dari analisis yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa faktor alam sangat berpengaruh karena dapat mempengaruhi bentukan massa hingga orientasi bangunan. Suatu kawasan wisata juga harus memperhatikan nilai-nilai kebudayaan yang ada disekitar tapak, sehingga tetap dapat berkaitan antara kawasan wisata dengan masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini dapat berupa memberi fasilitas yang dapat menunjang kegiatan kebudayaan tersebut. Untuk penunjang faktor kebudayaan yaitu dengan membuat auditorium outdoor yang dapat dinikmati oleh semua pengunjung wisata yang fungsinya sebagai penahan abrasi sekaligus menjadi tempat bersantai.
English Abstract
This research was conducted in Tarakan City. The city of Tarakan has a strategic position for the province of North Kalimantan, which is the gateway and transit point of inter-island trade in the region of North Kalimantan, and also between the countries of this region namely Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines. One of the tourist attraction that became the prima donna in this city is Amal Beach. Amal Beach is one of the nautical tourism in Tarakan. This Amal Beach is located in the District of Tarakan Timur, Amal Beach Village. In the eastern region, the government is planning the development of tourism and maritime objects. Amal Beach is not only looking for ordinary beach attractions, but this area is also a place of traditional events. The event is held every December 15 every 2 years, as well as to commemorate the anniversary of Tarakan City. This traditional event is called "Iraw Tengkayu". This is the most interesting thing for tourists to come to Tarakan in December. This study aims to determine the factors and factors that can affect the space in the object airpark attractions. The design process is also with the standard-standard converter used for waterpark tourist object area. Based on these standards can be generated variables that will be edited to be able to break the synthesis that can help in drafting the design of the park waterpark park. The results of this design is expected to be a reference in the development of waterpark park in the future. The approach of this research is descriptive-qualitative, by way of describing or describing the result from field survey and result of interview with government about concept of development of waterpark tourism area. The design method is a pragmatic method. From the analysis, it can be concluded that natural factors are very influential because they can influence mass formation to building satisfaction. A tourist area should also pay attention to the values that exist in the site, and can be called a tourist area with the surrounding community. This can be done by providing facilities that can support these activities. To support the cultural factors that is by making an outdoor auditorium that can be enjoyed by all visitors who are used as anchoring abrasion as well as a place to relax.
