Abstract

Baterai banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai cadangan energi listrik. Pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dan pengelolaan penerangan jalan umum sering kali menggunakan baterai jenis Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) karena lebih tahan lama dan lebih aman. Dalam sistem tersebut umumnya baterai disusun secara paralel untuk memperpanjang masa catu suatu beban dengan tegangan yang sama. Perlu menjadi perhatian bagaimana cara perawatan baterai yang baik agar mendapatkan performa yang optimal, penyimpanan energi yang stabil, dan tidak cepat rusak. Untuk itu baterai perlu dipantau agar dapat dilakukan tindakan yang diperlukan. Hal-hal yang perlu dipantau dalam penggunaan baterai antara lain tegangan baterai, suhu dan arus yang digunakan untuk pengisian maupun pengosongan. Selain pemantauan, penyimpanan nilai tegangan, suhu, dan arus juga diperlukan agar dapat dihitung sudah berapa kali suatu baterai sudah mengalami pengisian dan pengosongan sehingga dapat ditentukan siklus penggunaan dari suatu baterai. Umumnya setiap produsen baterai memiliki estimasi berapa kali baterai tersebut dapat dipakai yang tertera dalam datasheet. Maka dalam hal ini dibangun suatu prototype alat yang mampu memonitoring dan menyimpan nilai arus, tegangan suhu baterai yang terintegrasi dengan perangkat android melalui komunikasi via bluetooth. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa alat yang dibangun mampu membaca nilai tegangan dengan error 0,22%, nilai pembacaan arus dengan error 0,21% pada sensor arus 1, 0,69% pada sensor arus 2, 0,81% pada sensor arus 3 dan error pengukuran suhu sebesar 1,21% pada sensor suhu 1, 1,44% pada sensor suhu 2, 1,77% pada sensor suhu 3. Alat ini mampu mengirim data sejauh 7,5 meter serta menyimpan nilai pada SD Card.

English Abstract

Batteries are widely used as a backup of electrical energy. Solar power plants and general street lighting management often use vrla type batteries because safety because it is more durable and safer In such systems generally batteries are arranged in parallel to extend the lifetime of a load, stable energy storage, and not easily damaged In such systems generally the batteries are arranged in parallel to extend the lifetime of a load with the same voltage. It should be noted how to care for a good battery in order to get the optimal performance, stable energy storage, and not quickly damaged. So that batteries have to monitorto decide the best step to take. Things that need to be monitored in battery usage include battery voltage, temperature and current used for charging or dischargingIn addition to monitoring, storage values of voltage, temperature, and current are also required in order to calculate how many times a battery has been charged and discharge so that it can be determined cycle use of a battery. Generally every battery manufacturer has an estimate of how many times the battery can be used which is listed in the datasheet. So in this case, built a prototype tool that is able to monitor and store the current value, battery temperature voltage integrated with the android device through communication via bluethooth. The test results show that the built tool is able to read the voltage value with error 0,22%, the current reading value with error 0,21% for first current sensor, 0,69% for second current sensor, 0,81% for third current sensor and the temperature reading with error 1,21% for first temperature sensor, 1,44% for second temperature sensor, 1,77% for third temperature sensor. This tool is capable of sending data as far as 7,5 meters and store the value in SD Card.
