Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi fiksi yang ada di perpustakaan SMAN 9 Malang. Jumlah koleks fiksi yang tersedia pada perpustakaan memang terbilang cukup banyak, dari beberapa koleksi fiksi tersebut terdapat banyak jenis koleksi novel dan komik dari koleksi novel terdapat beberapa genre di antaranya novel romantis, komedi, horror, misteri, fantasi, sastra lama, dan terdapat beberapa seri komik yang dimiliki. Untuk itu perlu adanya pengukuran tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi fiksi yang terdapat pada perpustakaan SMAN 9 Malang apakah semua koleksi fiksi yang tersedia sudah termanfaatkan oleh para siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dimana pengumpulan data di dapat dari wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Dengan informan yang berjumlah 12 orang terdiri dari 10 orang siswa SMAN 9 Malang, 1 orang koordinator perpustakaan dan 1 orang pustakawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi fiksi pada perpustakaan SMAN 9 Malang sudah terlihat tinggi sesuai dengan cara pengukuran tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi. Koleksi fiksi merupakan koleksi yang paling sering diminati oleh pemustaka ketika berkunjung di perpustakaan. Koleksi fiksi yang tersedia pada perpustakaan SMAN 9 Malang sudah cukup banyak sehingga banyak para siswa yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan untuk memanfaatkan koleksi fiksi tersebut. Meskipun ada beberapa koleksi fiksi yang masih belum tersedia pada perpustakaan tetapi tidak mengurangi minat baca siswa untuk membaca koleksi fiksi yang lain. Banyaknya koleksi fiksi yang tersedia pada perpustakaan ternyata masih belum bisa memenuhi semua kebutuhan para siswa dalam membaca koleksi fiksi. Masih ada beberapa genre novel yang belum tersedia pada perpustakaan dimana genre novel tersebut juga disukai oleh beberapa siswa. Untuk itu perlu adanya pengadaan koleksi fiksi yang baru untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa lain yang belum tersedia pada perpustakaan.
English Abstract
This study was conducted to understand the utilization level of fiction collection in the library of SMAN 9 Malang. Total fiction collection that available in the library was quite a lot, there were many kind of fiction collectionssuch as novels and comics with several genres in between romance, comedy, horror, mystery, fantasy, old literature, and there were several series of comics that owned by the library. Thus, the utilization level of fiction collection in the library of SMAN 9 Malangshould be measured,was all of available fiction collections had been utilized by the students. This study used qualitative approach, where data collection was obtained by conducting interview, documentation, and observation. The informants in this study were 12 people that consisted of 10 students of SMAN 9 Malang, 1 coordianator of library and 1 librarian. The results of this study indicated that the utilization level of fiction collection in the library of SMAN 9 Malang was included in high category, accordance with the measurement level of fiction collection. Fiction collection was the most collection that demanded by the reader frequently when visiting the library. Fiction collection that available in the library of SMAN 9 Malang was already quite a lot, so there are many of students who visited the library to utilize fiction collection. Although there were several fiction collection that were still not available in the library but didn’t reduce students' interest in reading other fiction collection. The fiction collection that available in the library was still not able to meet all the needs of students in reading fiction collection. There were some genres of novel that had not been available in the library which the genre was also favored by some students. Thus, need a new procurement of fiction collection to meet the needs of the other students were not yet available in the library
