Abstract
Perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi subsektor food and beverage yang merupakan salah satu sektor usaha yang saat ini mengalami pertumbuhan. Hal tersebut juga disebabkan karena sektor ini termasuk dalam sektor Consumer Goods Industry dimana sektor ini bergantung pada tingkat konsumsi masyarakat. Tingkat konsumsi masyarakat yang tinggi salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh tingginya pertumbuhan penduduk. Hal ini juga menjadi salah satu penyebab semakin berkembangnya perusahaan pada subsektor food and beverage. Persaingan yang semakin ketat menuntut perusahaan untuk terus memperbaiki kinerja perusahaan agar dapat bersaing dengan perusahaan lain yang sejenis. Ketatnya persaingan dapat mengakibatkan kesulitan keuangan (financial distress) pada perusahaan sehingga harus dilakukan likuidasi apabila perusahaan sudah tidak mampu bertahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan menjelaskan Return On Assets (X1), Return On Equity (X2), Current Ratio (X3), Debt Ratio (X4) berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap financial distress (Y) pada perusahaan food and beverage yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Mengetahui dan menjelaskan Return On Assets (X1), Return On Equity (X2), Current Ratio (X3), Debt Ratio (X4) berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap financial distress (Y) pada perusahaan food and beverage yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Profitabilits yang diukur dengan ROA (Return On Asset) dan ROE (Return On Equity), likuiditas diukur dengan CR (Current Ratio) dan leverage diukur dengan DR (Debt Ratio) secara simultan dan parsial terhadap financial distress. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdapat 16 perusahaan food and beverage yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analsis Altman Z-Score, analisis data statistik, analisis data inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 1) ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return ON Equity) dan CR (Current Ratio) secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap financial distress; 2) DR (Debt Ratio) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap financial distress ; 3) ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return On Equity),vi CR (Current Ratio) dan DR (Debt Ratio) secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Saran yang diberikan, Sebaiknya perusahaan tetap meningkatkan profitabilitas perusahaan agar terhindar dari resiko kebangkrutan karena ketidakmampuan membayar hutang. Perusahaan hendaknya berhati-hati dalam mengambil keputusan untuk besarnya penambahan modal (hutang) dari luar perusahaan karena resiko yang akan ditimbulkan dari tingginya hutang yang memicu kebangkrutan. Bagi manajemen perusahaan sebaiknya segera mengadakan evaluasi dan upaya peningkatan kinerja operasional dan keuangan perusahaan. Hasil dari analisis model Z-Score ini bisa dijadikan gambaran perusahaan yang akan diinvestasikan dan menjadi pertimbangan dalam keputusan investasi.
English Abstract
Manufacturing industry sector consumer goods sector food and beverage subsector which is one of the business sector that is currently experiencing growth. This is also because the sector is included in the Consumer Goods Industry sector where this sector depends on the level of public consumption. High levels of public consumption one of them is influenced by high population growth. This is also one of the causes of the growing company in the food and beverage subsector. Increasingly fierce competition requires companies to continue to improve the company's performance in order to compete with other similar companies. Strict competition can lead to financial difficulties (financial distress) on the company so that should be liquidated if the company is not able to survive. This study aims to know and explain Return On Assets (X1), Return On Equity (X2), Current Ratio (X3), Debt Ratio (X4) partially influence the financial distress (Y) on food and beverage companies listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia. Knowing and explaining Return On Assets (X1), Return On Equity (X2), Current Ratio (X3), Debt Ratio (X4) influence simultaneously to financial distress (Y) on food and beverage companies listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia. Profitability measured by ROA (Return On Asset) and ROE (Return On Equity), liquidity is measured by CR (Current Ratio) and leverage is measured by DR (Debt Ratio) simultaneously and partially to financial distress. This type of research is included in explanative research with quantitative approach. This research use multiple linear regression analysis method. The population in this study there are 16 food and beverage companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The method of analysis in this study using Altman ZScore analysis method, statistical data analysis, inferential data analysis. The results of this study indicate that; 1) ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return ON Equity) and CR (Current Ratio) partially have no significant effect on financial distress; 2) DR (Debt Ratio) has a significant effect on financial distress; 3) ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return On Equity), CR (Current Ratio) and DR (Debt Ratio) simultaneously affect the financial distress.viii Suggestions given, should the company still improve the profitability of the company to avoid the risk of bankruptcy due to the inability to pay the debt. Companies should be careful in making decisions for the amount of additional capital (debt) from outside the company because of the risks that will be generated from the high debts that trigger bankruptcy. For the management of the company should immediately conduct an evaluation and efforts to improve the operational and financial performance of the company. The results of this Z-Score model analysis can be used as a description of the company to be invested and into consideration in investment decisions.
