Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah melakukan evaluasi terhadap aktivitas PR online badan publik di Indonesia dalam upaya transparansi dan akuntabilitas informasi kepada publik dalam era keterbukaan informasi publik menggunakan metode analisis yang empiris dan komprehensif menggunakan analisis WAES, strategi pemeliharaan relasional, dan prinsip-prinsip komunikasi dialogis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan positivisme dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi kuantitatif berupa fitur-fitur komunikasi dialogis dalam website dan menggunakan proportional stratified random sampling berdasarkan pemeringkatan keterbukaan informasi publik oleh badan publik di Indonesia tahun 2016. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah karakteristik PR online badan publik di Indonesia belum bisa dikatakan ideal menanamkan fitur-fitur transparency, interactivity, usability, dan website maturity dalam website mereka dan menempatkan interactivity sebagai unsur dominan yang dituangkan dalam aktivitas di media sosial resmi badan publik di Indonesia.dengan kata lain, di lihat dari analisis WAES, belum ada satupun website badan publik yang masuk kedalam kategori informatif. Hasil analisis menggunakan metode strategi pemeliharaan relasional menunjukkan bahwa humas badan publik lebih cenderung memanfaatkan media sosial dalam upaya pemeliharaan relasional dengan publik mereka dari pada menanamkan fitur-fitur strategi pemeliharaan relasional dalam website. Sedangkan hasil analisis menggunakan metode analisis prinsip-prinsip komunikasi dialogis, terlihat bahwa humas badan publik lebih cenderung menggunakan media sosial resmi badan publik dalam melakukan aktivitas komunikasi dialogis di luar website resmi badan publik. Hal ini disebabkan kesalahpahaman humas badan publik dalam mendefinisikan aktivitas PR online identik dengan media sosial

English Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the public relations activities of public agencies in Indonesia in the effort of transparency and accountability of information to the public in the era of public information disclosure using empirical and comprehensive analysis methods using WAES analysis, relational maintenance strategy, and principles of dialogical communication. This research uses positivism approach with quantitative and qualitative research methods. This study uses quantitative content analysis in the form of dialogical communication features in the website and using proportional stratified random sampling based on public information disclosure by public agencies in Indonesia in 2016. The findings in this study are the characteristics of public PR online public agencies in Indonesia can not be said to be ideal embed features of transparency, interactivity, usability, and website maturity in their website and place interactivity as the dominant element as outlined in activities in the official social media of public agency in Indonesia. In other words, seen from the WAES analysis, no public agency website which entered into the informative category. The result of the analysis using relational maintenance strategy method indicates that public agencies public relations officers is more likely to utilize social media in relational maintenance efforts with their public than to embed the features of relational maintenance strategy in the website. While the results of the analysis using the method of analysis of the principles of dialogical communication, it appears that public relations public relations is more likely to use official public agencies social media in conducting dialogical communication activities outside the official website of public bodies. This is due to misconceptions public agencies public relations officers in defining online PR activity identical to social media.
