Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran atau kondisi proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Bisnis Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya (PSIAB FIA UB) saat ini, melakukan analisis proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi saat ini, dan menggambarkan serta mendeskripsikan usulan proses bisnis informasi administrasi skripsi PSIAB FIA UB yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan PSIAB FIA UB. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PSIAB FIA UB yang berlokasi di jalan Mayor Jenderal Haryono Nomor 163, Kelurahan Ketawanggede, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi yang saat ini diterapkan oleh PSIAB FIA UB masih menggunakan metode dan prosedur manual sehingga menimbulkan beberapa permasalahan. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain waktu yang lama untuk menyelesaikan setiap sub proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi, implementasi sistem informasi pada proses hanya digunakan untuk membantu pekerjaan manual, proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi tidak didokumentasi secara lengkap sehingga masih terjadi kesalahan dalam pelaksanaan proses bisnis, dan proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi masih menggunakan formulir-formulir dan berkas-berkas berbentuk kertas sehingga PSIAB FIA UB membutuhkan ruang penyimpanan untuk formulir-formulir dan berkas-berkas tersebut. Permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut mendasari perlu diadakan perbaikan pada proses bisnis sistem informasi skripsi PSIAB FIA UB. Rekomendasi proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi menggunakan sistem informasi berbasis komputer dan online digunakan sebagai alternatif perbaikan proses bisnis sistem informasi administrasi skripsi PSIAB FIA UB.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research are to describes the current condition of the business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of Business Administration Study Program Faculty of Administrative Sciences University of Brawijaya (BASP FSA UB), to analyzes the current business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB, and to makes the recommendation business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system according to the needs of BASP FSA UB. The type of research is case study research with qualitative approach. The research helm at BASP FSA UB, located at Jl. Mayor Jenderal Haryono Number 163 Ketawanggede, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. Data were obtained from conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the research that has been done, the current business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB still uses manual methods and procedures which cause several problems. Those problems are the completion for each sub-process take a long times, information system implementation in current business process is used to help manual works, the current business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB is not fully documented so the errors still occur in its execution, and the current business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB still uses paper forms and files so BASP FSA UB needs the storage spaces for the forms and the files. Those problems are the reason for the business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB improvement. The recommendation of the business process of undergraduate thesis administrative information system of BASP FSA UB uses computer and online-based information system as alternative for its improvement.
