Abstract

Peningkatan produksi tebu pada lahan petani berarti meningkatkan pendapatan dan perbaikan taraf hidup petani tebu. Disamping itu peningkatan produksi tebu juga berarti meningkatkan penyediaan bahan baku bagi agroindustri berbasis tebu yang pada gilirannya akan mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gula dalam negeri bahkan swasembada serta meningkatkan pendapatan nasional dari sektor non migas (Daru, 2011). Aklimatisasi planlet merupakan periode kritis bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan planlet karena planlet yang telah lama ditumbuhkan di dalam kondisi in vitro umumnya mempunyai kutikula yang tipis dan stomata yang tidak normal sehingga mudah layu. Faktor penunjang keberhasilan proses aklimatisasi yaitu kondisi planlet ukuran benih, media tanam, kelembaban udara, perakaran, kondisi lingkungan dan sanitasi lingkungan dari infeksi penyakit. Kondisi lingkungan yang kondusif seperti intensitas cahaya, suhu, kelembaban, dan suplai hara akan mendukung tercapainya proses aklimatisasi.Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mempelajari interaksi antara Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF) dan penerapan sistem tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas benih tebu ( Saccharum officinarum L.). Hipotesis penelitian ini ialah terdapat interaksi dari kombinasi perlakuan aplikasiControlled Release Fertilizer (CRF) dan penerapan sistem tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas benih tebu ( Saccharum officinarum L.). Penelitian telahdilaksanakan dengan kondisi homogen di Green House, Jatimulyo, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur, pada bulan Agustus – Oktober 2017. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu aplikasi CRF berbentuk granular dan sistem tanam. Pada faktor pertama terdapat 5 taraf dosis yaitu tanpa pemupukan,1 butir per lubang tanam, 2 butir per lubang tanam, 3 butir per lubang tanam dan 4 butir lubang tanam sedangkan pada faktor kedua terdapat 2 taraf yaitu aplikasi sistem tanam single planting dancolony planting. Parameter pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, persentase tumbuh, luas daun, bobot segar tanaman, bobot kering tanaman dan panjang akar tanaman tebu. Selanjutnya, data-data tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam F hitung dengan taraf 5% dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ dengan taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan perlakuan aplikasi CRF dan penerapan sistem tanam menunjukkan interaksi pada parameter tinggi tanaman dan bobot segar tanaman tebu sedangkan pada parameter jumlah daun, diameter batang, persentase tumbuh, bobot kering dan panjang akar tanaman tidakterdapat interaksi. Aplikasi dosis pupuk CRF 3 butir per lubang tanam dengan sistem tanam single planting menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap berbagai parameter tanaman dibandingkan dengan perlakuan aplikasi dosis CRF 0, 1, 2 dan 4 butir per lubang tanam pada sistem tanam single planting dan penerapan sistem tanam colony planting.Penerapan sistem tanam single planting meninjukkan pertumbuhan dan kualitas benih tebu lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan penerapan sistem tanam colony planting.

English Abstract

Increasing the production of sugar cane on farmers' land means increasing income and improving the life of sugar cane farmers. Besides, increasing sugarcane production also means increasing the supply of raw materials for sugar cane-based agroindustry which in turn will be able to meet the demand of domestic sugar or self-sufficiency and increase the national income from the nonoil sector (Daru, 2011). The acclimatization of planlet is a critical period for growth and development of planlet because long-grown planlets in in vitro condition generally have thin cuticles and abnormal stomata that easily wither. Factors supporting the success of the acclimatization process are plant size seed condition, planting medium, air humidity, rooting, environmental conditions and environmental sanitation from infectious diseases. Conducive environment conditions such as light intensity, temperature, humidity, and nutrient supply will support the achievement of acclimatization process. The purpose of this research is to study the interaction between Contolled Release Fertilizer (CRF) application and the planting system to growth and quality of sugarcane seed (Saccharum officinarum L.). The hypothesis of this research there is an interaction of the combination of Contolled Release Fertilizer (CRF) application and the planting systems to the growth and quality of sugarcane seeds (Saccharum officinarum L.). The research has been carried out with homogeneous conditions at Green House, Jatimulyo, Lowokwaru Resort, Malang City, East Java, from August to October 2017. Using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors: CRF application and planting system. In the first factor there are 5 levels of dosage without fertilization, 1 grain per planting hole, 2 grains per planting hole, 3 grains per planting hole and 4 grains per planting hole while in the second factor there are 2 levels in the application planting system of single planting and colony planting. Observation parameters include plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, growthpercentage, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight of plant and root length of sugar cane plant. Furthermore, the data are analyzed by using the analysis of varian count arithmetic with 5% level followed by test with 5% level. Based on the results of research that has been carried out the treatment of CRF application and the application of planting system shows the interaction on the parameters of plant height and fresh weight of sugar cane, while the number of leaf, stem diameter, growing percentage, dry weight and root length of the plant no interaction. Application of CRF fertilizer dosage 3 grains per planting hole with single planting system showed significant effect on various plant parameterscompared with the treatment of dosage application of CRF 0, 1, 2 and 4 grains per planting hole on single planting system and application of planting system of colony planting.The application of single planting system shows the growth and quality of sugarcane seed is significant compared to the Colony planting system
