Abstract

Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman hias yang biasa digunakan sebagai tanaman lanskap dan bunga potong. Marigold yang ditanam pada polybag dengan media sekam : tanah : cocopeat akan cepat layu pada saat siang hari karena media cepat kehilangan air. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan interaksi komposisi media tanam dan frekuensi pemberian air yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan pembungaan Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) secara optimal. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah komposisi media tanam arang sekam : tanah : cocopeat dengan perbandingan 1 : 1 : 3 dan frekuensi pemberian air 2 hari sekali akan memberikan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan pembungaan Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Greenhouse Venus Orchid di Desa Tegalweru, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang, pada bulan Oktober - Desember 2017, dengan ketinggian tempat ± 750 mdpl dan suhu rerata 23-28ºC. Penelitian disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial, faktor pertama, komposisi media tanam terdiri dari : M1 = Arang sekam : Tanah : Cocopeat = 1:1:1, M2 = Arang sekam : Tanah : Cocopeat = 1:1:2, M3 = Arang sekam : Tanah : Cocopeat = 1:1:3. Faktor kedua frekuensi pemberian air terdiri dari: W1 = 2 kali sehari, W2 = 1 kali sehari, W3 = 2 hari sekali, diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter pengamatan meliputi, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, umur berbunga, jumlah bunga, diameter bunga., bobot segar total tanaman dan bobot kering total tanaman. Data hasil. pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisa ragam (ANOVA) dan dilakukan dengan uji F pada taraf 5%, apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata dari perlakuan maka dilakukan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi antara perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat dan frekuensi pemberian air terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun dan diameter bunga marigold. Tetapi tidak terdapat interaksi terhadap umur berbunga, jumlah bunga, bobot segar total tanaman dan bobot kering total tanaman. Perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat 1:1:3 dan frekuensi pemberian air 2 hari sekali dapat meingkatkan diameter bunga sebesar 11,86% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat 1:1:1. Terdapat pengaruh nyata pada perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat terhadap umur berbunga, jumlah bunga, bobot segar total tanaman dan bobot kering total tanaman. Perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat 1:1:3 dapat mempercepat umur berbunga rata-rata pada umur 29 HST dan dapat meningkatkan jumlah bunga sebanyak 17,05% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan komposisi media tanah : arang sekam : cocopeat 1:1:1. Pada perlakuan frekuensi pemberian air berpengaruh nyata terhadap umur berbunga, jumlah bunga dan bobot kering total tanaman. Perlakuan pemberian air 2 hari sekali dapat mempercepat umur berbunga rata-rata pada 28 HST dan dapat meningkatkan jumlah bunga sebanyak 18,64% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan pemberian air 2 kali sehari

English Abstract

Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) is one of ornamental plants which commonly used as a plant landscape and cut flowers. Marigold growth on polybags with media raw husk : soil: cocopeat will quickly wil during the day due to rapid media loss of water. The purpose of this study to obtain the interaction of planting media composition and the appropriate frequency of watering for growth and flowering Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) optimally. The hypothesis of this research of was composition of cropping medium of charcoal husk : soil : cocopeat with ratio 1: 1: 3 and frequency of watering delivery every 2 days will give best result for growth and flowering Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.). The study was conducted at Greenhouse Venus Orchid in Tegalweru Village, Dau District, Malang Regency, in October - December 2017, with altitude of ± 750 masl and average temperature 23-28ºC. The research was used Factorial Randomized Block Design. The first factor was the composition of planting media consisted of: M1 = Charcoal husk: Soil: Cocopeat = 1: 1: 1, M2 = Charcoal husk: Soil: Cocopeat = 1: 1: 2, M3 = Charcoal husk: Soil: Cocopeat = 1: 1: 3. The second factor was the frequency of watering consisted of: W1 = 2 times a day, W2 = once a day, W3 = once every 2 days, repeated 3 times. Observation parameters included, plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, time of flower intiatiob, number of flowers, diameter of flower, total fresh weight of plant and total dry weight of plant. The observational data were analyzed by using ANOVA and done by F test at 5% level, if there is real influence from the treatment then the Smallest Differential Test (LSD) was conducted on 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction between the treatment of media composition and frequency of water to plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and diameter of flower. But there is no interaction with the time of flower initiation, the number of flowers, the total fresh weight of the plant and the total dry weight of the plant. Treatment of media composition charocoal husk: soil: cocopeat and frequency of watering once every 2 days, can incrased diameter of flower by 11.86% compared with media compositiom charcoal husk: soil: cocopeat with ratio 1: 1 : 1 and the frequency of watering 2 times a day. There is a significant difference on the treatment media composition soil: charcoal husk: cocopeat to the time of flower initiation, the number of flowers, the total fresh weight of the plant and the total dry weight of the plant. Treatment of media composition soil : charcoal husk: cocopeat with rasio 1: 1: 3 can accelerate the flowering time average 29 DAP and can increase the number of flowers as much as 17,05% compared with media composition charcoal husk: soil: cocopeat with ratio 1: 1: 1. Treatment. Frequency of watering give a significant effect on the time of flower initiation, number of flowers and total dry weight of the plant. Treatment watering frequency once every 2 days can accelerate the flowering time average 28 DAP and can increase the number of flowers as much as 18,64% compared with watering two times a day.
