Abstract

Studi tentang penanggulangan kebakaran di Jakarta sangat penting karena seiring dengan perkembangan jumlah penduduk yang tinggi dan lingkungan padat hunian serta kumuh. Petugas Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penanggulangan Bencana Provinsi Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta (Dinas Damkar PB DKI Jakarta) dinilai masyarakat belum maksimal karena pada saat terjadi kebakaran sering dating terlambat. Masyarakat selalu mengharapkan kinerja petugas Dinas Damkar PB DKI Jakarta tepat waktu dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur dan menjelaskan kinerja pegawai Dinas Damkar PB DKI Jakarta ketika dipengaruhi oleh variabel komitmen organisasional dan kekuatan identitas organisasional dimediasi perilaku kewargaan organisasional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan PLS ( Partial Least Square ). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yang dibagikan kepada responden dengan sampel 353 pegawai Dinas Damkar PB DKI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasional berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap perilaku kewargaan organisasional dan kinerja pegawai, sedangkan perilaku kewargaan organisasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Di sisi lain, kekuatan identitas organisasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku kewargaan organisasional dan juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Dengan demikian kinerja pegawai meningkat seiring meningkatnya kekuatan identitas organisasional dan perilaku kewargaan organisasional. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah kekuatan identitas organisasional dan perilaku kewargaan organisasional pegawai Dinas Damkar PB DKI Jakarta menjadi penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai.

English Abstract

Studies about fire prevention in Jakarta are very important due to the rapid development of population as well as the environment which is dense-residential and dirty. The society considers that the employees of Fire Department and Disaster Management of DKI Jakarta are not in their maximum performance because when the fire happens they often come late. The society expects the performance of the department`s employees would show punctuality in doing their job. This research aims at measuring and explaining the performance of the employees of Fire Department and Disaster Management of DKI Jakarta when it is influenced by the variables of organizational commitment and the power of organizational identity mediated by Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The method used in this research was quantitative method. The technique of data analysis used was PLS (Partial Least Square). The data were collected by using research instrument which was distributed to the respondents with the sample of 353 employees of Fire Department and Disaster Management of DKI Jakarta. The results of the research showed that organizational commitment does not significantly influence OCB and the employee performance, while OCB significantly influences the employee performance. On the other hand, the power of organizational identity significantly influences OCB and also influences significantly to the performance of employee. Therefore, the employee performance increases as the increasing of the power of organizational identity and OCB. The implication of this research is that the power of organizational identity and OCB of the employees of Fire Department and Disaster Management of DKI Jakarta become important in improving the performance of the employee.
