Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan dari hasil studi model penelitian Deshpande dan Farley (1999), serta Zwierzcek dan Cuong (2008) yang diimplikasikan pada PT. Bank Riau Kepri di Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini, adalah: 1) Mengukur gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap budaya organisasi, 2) Mengukur gaya kepemimpinan transformasional secara langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap kinerja organisasi yang dimediasi oleh budaya organisasi, dan 3) Mengukur budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja organisasi pada PT. Bank Riau Kepri di Pekanbaru. Disain penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan menerapkan metode survei, yaitu meneliti hubungan antara variabel penelitian dan melakukan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dirumuskan. Penelitian dilakukan pada PT. Bank Riau Kepri di Pekanbaru dengan populasi seluruh pimpinan level menengah ke atas yang berjumlah 608 orang dari 14 jaringan kantor dan diambil sebagai sampel berjumlah 149 orang responden (sumber: Divisi Human Capital & Services PT. Bank Riau Kepri, per September 2010). Pemilihan sampel dilakukan berdasarkan metode purposive sampling dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan sampel yang representatif sesuai dengan kriteria sampel yang telah ditentukan dan menganalisis data menggunakan metode SEM ( Structural Equation Model ). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu berperan secara langsung terhadap budaya organisasi; 2) Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu berperan secara langsung dan nyata terhadap kinerja organisasi; 3) Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu mendukung secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja organisasi yang dimediasi oleh budaya organisasi; dan 4) Budaya organisasi mampu berperan secara langsung dan nyata terhadap kinerja organisasi.
English Abstract
The development of the previous research models` result conducted by Deshpande and Farley (1999) and Zwierzcek and Cuong (2008) was applied as the background of this study, which was then conducted at PT. Bank Riau Kepri in Pekanbaru. The objectives of this study are to measure: (1) the influence of transformasional leadership style on the organizational culture, (2) the direct and indirect influence of transformasional leadership style on the organizational performance through organizational culture, and (3) the influence of organizational culture on organizational culture on organizational performance at PT. Bank Riau Kepri in Pekanbaru. The design of this research is explanatory research by applying survey method, which examines the relationship between research variables and tests the hypotheses that have been formulated. The study was conducted at PT. Bank Riau Kepri, Pekanbaru with the population 608 people of all middle and upper level leaders, which were from 14 network offices from which 149 people were selected as the sample respondents (source: Human Capital & Services Division of PT. Bank Riau Kepri, as of September 2010). The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique in order to obtain a representative sample in accordance with predetermined criteria of the sample. The data analysis was conducted using SEM (Structural Equation Model). The result of this study indicated that: (1) transformasional leadership style had a direct and apparent impact on the organization cultural values, (2) transformasional leadership style is not able to give direct and apparent contribution in organizational performance, and (3) transformasional leadership style is able to give indirect contribution to the organizational mediated by the organizational culture, (4) organizational culture is able to contribute directly and obviously in the organizational performance.
