Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan membuktikan secara empiris pengaruh pengungkapan aktifitas CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure ) melalui media Annual Report terhadap kinerja perusahaan (ROA, ROE dan MVA) dan pengaruh Total Asset, Leverage dan Total Asset perusahaan terhadap extent of CSRD (luas cakupan informasi dalam CSRD). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya dan melengkapi khasanah ilmu pengetahuan di bidang manajemen keuangan, terutama mengenai fenomena pengaruh CSRD terhadap kinerja perusahaan (ROA, ROE dan MVA) dan pengaruh Total Asset, Leverage dan Total Asset terhadap CSRD. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan yang bukan bergerak pada sektor keuangan dan perbankan yang terdaftar dari tahun 2007 – 2009 pada Bursa Efek Indonesia serta menerbitkan dan mempublikasikan informasi aktifitas CSR perusahaan dalam annual report . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sensus pada 46 perusahaan yang memenuhi syarat penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur ( path analisys ). Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif signifikan Total Asset terhadap kandungan informasi aktifitas CSR yang diungkapkan (CSRD) oleh perusahaan dalam annual report , terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan Leverage terhadap kandungan informasi aktifitas CSR yang diungkapkan (CSRD) oleh perusahaan dalam annual report . Namun Total sales tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kandungan informasi aktifitas CSR yang diungkapkan (CSRD). Selanjutnya informasi aktifitas CSR yang diungkapkan (CSRD) yang diungkapkan oleh perusahaan dalam annual report berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan yang diukur dengan ROA dan ROE namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan yang diukur dengan MVA.

English Abstract

This research aims at empirically examining and confirming the effect of CSRD (Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure) activities through annual report on firm performance (ROA, ROE, and MVA) as well as the effect of Total Asset, Leverage, and Total Sales of the firm on the extent of CSRD. The results of this research are expected to be able to enrich and deepen the knowledge in the domain of financial management, particularly related to the phenomena of the CSRD`s influence toward firm performance (ROA, ROE, MVA) as well as Total Asset, Leverage and Total Sales` effects on CSRD. This research was conducted on non-financial and non-banking industries listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2007 – 2009 which have issued and published the information about their CSR activities in their annual report. This research was a census research on 46 firms that have met the research requirement. The data analysis used in this research was path analysis. The finding of this research confirmed that there is a negative but significant effect of Total Asset on the extent of CSRD activities revealed by the firm in its annual report; besides, there is a positive and significant effect of Leverage on the extent of CSRD activities. Yet, total sales does not significantly affect the extent of CSRD activities. The extend of CSRD activities revealed by the firm in its annual report positively and significantly influence firm performance as measured by using ROA and ROE; however, it does not have significant influence toward firm performance as measured by using MVA.
